One thing i've done in the past after i broke my whole mount for the indicators is that i've tied the tire with a string around and under the seat nose, like a lasso. When you don't sit on the seat it's loose, but when you're seated it tightens the string and pulls it behind you away from the cluster.

Christian pena Even in summer it drops below 0 in the Australian desert in the nights/morning, then when you chuck your thermals on it gives you the finger in the day when it goes up to 40 degrees
@MotorJan2899 жыл бұрын
+Christian pena (Scalz805) that made no sense at all. America is a Continent, including South America witch is on the south Part of the Planet.

I have a wonderful sleeping bag rated for 20F (-6.7C) and found that means that at that temperature it will keep you comfortable without having to wear warm pajamas. I rarely ever have to zip it up fully unless it is below freezing, or I'll start to overheat. even better is it's really lightweight and compact(it's designed for backpacking) it has compression straps that can compress it to around the size of a lunchbox.

This reminds me of the tow shows on Netflix called Long way down and Long way around where these two guys on BMW's go through a lot of different countries and 95% of it is off-road, they are really neat shows each has a couple episodes!
@theengineer30009 жыл бұрын
You do realise those two lads are actually Ewan McGregor and Charlie Boorman don't you?
@lathanhowe55319 жыл бұрын
+theengineer3000 yeah I know they are in movies or something but I haven't seen the two shows in over a year so I just forgot their names!

when you filmed the skyline i was so happy :) its a pretty stupid reason but i think its cool that you also recognise awesome cars, because some Motovloggers dont even know if there is a Ferrari or Lamborghini driving by :)

If I knew you went through Broken Hill I would of tried to meet up with you. Also there's only 3 R33 skylines in broken hill and 2 R34s. There is one bike shot left here called "Robs Dirt Bike Repairs" all the other repair joints and bike dealers closed down. It gets really hot in the summer and really cold in the winter. It's really weird but yeah 0 degrees isn't that bad once it got to -9 degrees but it's good have heaters!

That Repsol CBR250RR! It reminds me of the one I had in the 90's. Highlight of the video! :-p Just kidding. Great start to the adventure! I wish I could have ridden out to meet you guys along the way. I was planning it with Nerb but couldn't make it happen. I am with you I think. More clothing layers and less sleeping bag. Awesome stuff, it looks amazing out there!

Come on Tom..........Ive driven a 30 meter road train around Sydney on a daily basis............ You boys did well to get 1000km done in a day. Try changing a 16" super single truck tyre on a steel rim...........if its laying flat on its side, its a struggle just to stand the thing up.

Awesome video & commitment for the love of KTM... & motorbikes, men!I was wondering if the guys on the 690s any problems with handlebar vibrations? I have a 2016 690 in from 40 mph up The hand of our vibration is absolutely hand numbing. Setting up an appointment to have the dealer check it out before my warranty is up. Thank you for the great video, look forward to more !

Hey guys love this upload, thank you! I'm in the planning stage of doing this trip, riding from the Sunny Coast in Qld to Ulura ( through the Simpson). I have a few questions: 1) did you do much maintenance during the trip on the 690. i.e l oil and filter changes? 2) would you recommend a semi paddle tyre for the desert? (They make a pretty good one that's not to paddely) 3) did you do any suspension mods for the trip or bike upgrades?. Much appreciate any advise you can offer.

Hi Tom, I just bought a 2016 690. I’m a bit worried about the plastic fuel tank subframe. What setup did you run? How much weight can they handle?
