We take on the Simpson Desert crossing east to west with all the family on board. Leaving Birdsville and heading west into the Simpson we have a amazing few days of sand dune driving and creek crossings.
We got luck and see a mob of camel and plenty of birds and reptiles.

Thanks mate. Really appreciate your comments on here We are in love with WA and can’t wait to get back there. It’s such a long way from Hervey Bay! I reckon the Simo is not gonna change to quickly. Maybe just a bit more traffic. What car did you cross it in?

You're taking me back. It was a great trip. It's interesting to see the opposite way to which I travelled. That's the way my mate Ed wanted to go. The ground on the hills was harder when going West to East but the bumps harsher. Whereas your'e hitting the bumps smoother. How exciting to see water and camels in the desert. We didn't see camels and looked hard. I reckon if you find water in the desert, you should camp there. Where there's water, there's wildlife. Great edit. Really enjoyed it. 🙏😎

Thanks Nas. Appreciate it mate. I watched your and Ed’s video a few time while planning this trip and they were helpful. Especially with the Pajero and Challenger. We would have loved to camp at Eyre Creek but we pushed on as it was early. Now that we have done it I would have left Birdsville later to make it to the Eyre Creek crossing nearer to sunset. Just to save me going crazy with the flies lol.

Great Video Mate . Weve tried twice to cross the simpson and twice we were stopped by floods , Going to try again next year in our MR Triton and trying to convince my brother inlaw to take his Pajero across as well . Sent him the link for your video to convince him the Paj could do it no issues . Love your content .

We too had to postpone our plans due to floods, but got a lucky break in the end. The Mitshubishi cars loved it and did it with ease. Thanks for watching and commenting. Good luck convincing the brother in law. We would all do it again.

MATE! You must take the sticker off the table top! A great video and great to see the kids having a good time. I hope to do the Simpson in the next year or two. I have done the CSR (2014) and I reckon you should put it on your list, it was an epic trip over a 3 week period. 7 weeks round trip from Brisbane. I look forward to more of your videos, I know how difficult they are to put together. Cheers.

Haha. I got around to taking the sticker off eventually. Can you tell it was a last minute thing to get that table? Mate the CSR is definitely on our list, has been for a long time. I’m working my way up to it. Thanks for watching and thanks for commenting. We appreciate it.

@@AdventuringPals we went to Poepples and then back to Birdsville then down to Cameron’s Corner. So all three corners conquered. Great fun.

Great video mate, your Mitsubishi triton is going great gun's, later on maybe you could give us a run down on how it went, fuel usage, what gear you were using/ left it in drive or manual select and what temperature did the box run at. Ect. Happy Travels to you and the family. 🤗👍

Thanks mate. I really appreciate you watching and commenting. We have actually already recorded a post trip breakdown of just the crossing and I will post it up after part 2 of the crossing. I don’t think I covered the auto temps but it didn’t ever get hot enough to worry about. I think the hottest I saw it was 90 degrees Celsius. That was going up the longer dunes continuously. But it dropped down pretty quick again on the flats.

Hey guys, I’m enjoying watching your trip. I’m interested how many jerrys you took for the Triton? Does it have a long range tank?
@AdventuringPals
@AdventuringPals 11 ай бұрын
Hi mate. Thanks for watching and commenting. I have a Brown Davis long range tank with 135 liters of usable capacity. I took one Jerry can with 20 litres as spare fuel. The crossing between Birdsville and Mt Dare was 593 kilometres. And I used 110 liters of diesel. Specs about the other cars fuel usage will be all in a future video where we go through a post trip talk. Hope this helps.
