SIMPSON OBOE CONCERTO I TEMPO

At 7 years since the composition of this wonderful concert for oboe and orchestra by the US composer Daniel Lèo Simpson has not yet had any public performances ... it's really good to be able to prove this absurd! The music world is now gone and in the throes of convulsions and not wanting to know any true artists continue to go behind chimeras and clichés. Stupidity strikes with ever greater strength all the academic environments which continue to protect their followers who teach, play in big orchestras and give interesting master classes around the world. The time of shame seems never to come ... but the knots will come to the comb.
The work of this great composer who appears to be the true heir of Johann Sebastian Bach was born spontaneously and seems to never end ... it is a pity that in the 21st century there were no free orchestras able to collect pearls that come down from the sky.
A 7 anni dalla composizione di questo meraviglioso concerto per oboe e orchestra del compositore statunitense Daniel Lèo Simpson non si è ancora avuta nessuna esecuzione pubblica...è veramente bravo chi riesce a dimostrare quest'assurdo! Il mondo musicale è ormai spacciato ed in preda alle convulsioni e non volendone sapere nulla dei veri artisti continua ad andare dietro a chimere e luoghi comuni. La stupidità colpisce con sempre maggiore forza tutti gli ambienti accademici i quali continuano a proteggere i loro adepti che insegnano, suonano in grandi orchestre e danno interessantissime master classes in giro per il mondo. Il tempo della vergogna sembra non arrivare mai...ma i nodi giungeranno al pettine.
L'opera di questo grande compositore che sembra essere il vero erede di Johann Sebastian Bach nasce in modo spontaneo e sembra non avere mai fine...peccato che nell'avanzato 21 secolo non ci siano rimaste orchestre libere in grado di raccogliere le perle che scendono dal cielo.

Lungi da me dal pensare di essere a livello del grande Simpson, però anni fa presentai al mio maestro di musica da camera che chiese di presentare brani liberi, un brano nello stile "antico" per oboe (che è il mio strumento). Al di là che potesse piacere oppure no, che fosse fatto bene oppure no, mi sono sentito rispondere che fosse inutile suonarlo perché c'erano già dei pezzi scritti nel passato e che il brano non arricchiva di nulla (oltre al fatto che mi fu detto che il brano potesse essere usato come sottofondo in aeroporto): il maestro in questione tuttora esegue e fa eseguire suoi brani che sono un affronto alla musica e alle orecchie delle persone sane. Tutto questo per portare una testimonianza relativa alla frase del maestro di Mauro "non si è ancora avuta nessuna esecuzione pubblica...è veramente bravo chi riesce a dimostrare quest'assurdo!". Il compositore ha dimostrato che la musica tonale NON E' MORTA! Anzi è floridissima e che nelle mani giuste produce capolavori come questo concerto. Un Grazie enorme al compositore e al maestro di Mauro!! Far be it from me to think I was at the level of the great Simpson, but years ago I presented to my chamber music master, who asked to present free pieces, a piece in the "ancient" style for oboe (which is my instrument). Beyond whether he liked it or not, whether it was well written or not, I was told that it was useless to play it because there were already some pieces written in the past and that the piece did not enrich the repertoire at all (besides the fact that I was told that the piece could be used as a background in the airport): the master in question still performs and has performed his pieces that are an affront to the music and ears of healthy people (this is my idea). All this in order to bear witness to Mauro's words: "there hasn't been any public performance yet...it's really good who can prove this absurd! The composer has shown that tonal music IS NOT DEAD! On the contrary it is very flourishing and in the right hands it produces masterpieces like this concert. A huge thank you to the composer and to Maestro di Mauro!!!

Salve prof. Sono Giulia Ioannucci. Come ripeto lei è davvero un grandissimo oboista e si merita solo che il meglio. Chi non apprezza questa bellissima esecuzione posso dire che non è un vero musicista. le auguro il meglio e posso essere solo che onorata e orgogliosa di avere lei come insegnante!

I'm definitely humbled and honored by your words my dear friend and i'd add that despite my efforts this is the best i made...but it had to be done and i only hope to have shed some light in the right direction...towards music, the real music. The world unfortunately is subject to the whims of a whimsical and spoiled elite and unfortunately the levels can not be overcome because now it is their moment ... you love the Bible and you understand these words well.
