Marge is weak in this episode as she easily gave in to Maggie's demand for the Ranch Dressing Phase instead act like a proper mum who stand her ground to her children's demand.

you underestimate Maggie; she might be a baby, but she is not one to be messed with; she shot up Fat Tony's crew (s13e22) , took over a daycare with the help of the other toddlers (s4e2), and many other things; maybe it was wise of Marge to give in...

@@doscaminos204 Nah what I mean is that im so used to watching classic Simpsons, but the new stuff is weird cause it talks about things currently happening. Shows that the show has gone for too long

@@silverstar8868 well if you look back they always touched on trending topics of their day, the only difference between the old and new stuff is that the new stuff makes statements where the old stuff was more observant comedy. So yea, the show continues because they are up to date. They even reinvent Homer and Marge’s youth as being a 70s high school sweethearts, to 80s, 90s, and they have probably made one where Bart and Lisa were toddlers in the early 2000s. They keep reinventing their past.

This episode is already an exaggeration of when there are huge spongy moth infestations (formerly known as gypsy moths), with destructive poisonous caterpillars crawling around everywhere. I remember we had a pretty bad infestation in 2016, and this episode reminded me of that.

One thing with Homer as unbothered as he is sometimes as a man when it comes to his wife & children he knows when to step up & be a man unlike Peter from family guy poor Lois has to play both parts.
