I have the older version of this. It doesn't have the 3rd filter. I have had mine for a year now and still works great.

That's good to hear. It does seem to be high quality and works very well.

Here is all I know about RO systems. They work, they create pure water, BUT they dump a LOT of water down the drain to give you 1 gallon of pure water. IF you have cheap and plentiful water, ok. IF you have limited water, (SHTF) or expensive water, you may want to weigh the cost of going through your limited water supply.

Hello Spockmcoyissmart, This ratio for this particular unit is 2.5 cups drinking water to 1 cup wastewater. Not to bad for the purified water.
@spockmcoyissmart9613 ай бұрын
@@ChefPrepper That is amazing considering the avg RO system creates 5 gallons or more of waste water to every 1 gallon of water to drink. I wonder how they have done this?

How many fills before you need new filters?
@ChefPrepper3 ай бұрын
The manufacturer recommends changing the T33 and the PPC filters every 6 months and the RO filter every 9 months. Or about 790 gallons of drinking water. The unit will indicate on the display panel when a filter needs to be replaced too. Hope this helps.

Ridiculously expensive
@ChefPrepper3 ай бұрын
Yes it does cost a bit. Not for everyone, but some folks use them and like them quite well. There are other alternatives out for water filtering/treatment.

Hello Makcity, No, still a Preparedness Channel, but we do some product reviews sometimes for items that are useful (or might be) as prepping items. Thanks for watching and stick around!

I can't stand the taste of reverse osmosis water.
@ChefPrepper3 ай бұрын
Try a pinch of Himalayan salt or use it with coffee and other things like that. Of course only if you want to use RO water.
@Behindthecurtain-s1o3 ай бұрын
@@ChefPrepper Never thought about using salt. Gonna have to try it. Thanks. And I will use sea salt. Just so happens I have Himalayan pink salt. Just no RO water, lol.
