visually the sims 3 was so beautiful in comparison to the others… the only thing i really preferred in sims 4 graphic wise was the style of the sims. sims 4 is such a poor game in comparison to its predecessors :(

Beach lots in TS2 can be found in edit town mode. They are big lots that can be placed where a road is close to water, fresh or ocean, set to public and your sims can swim in any world not just on vacation. ;)

I couldn’t imagine making a lesser version of a previous game. The expansion packs for the sims 3 were amazing and PACKED with content and new animations. To go from that to the bare bones of a game we get now for The sims 4 is really sad. It’s getting better but, it has also been… 10 years…

if they combined every version of the sims WITH the sims 4 graphics, i feel like it would make the perfect sims 5. sims 4 should’ve been so much better than it was but it was so rushed.

Why are people obsessed with TS4 graphics? It looks bad (compared to games released at same time) and the art style is made for children.

​@@ProtectusCZ generally it just looks a bit cleaner but I do think the sims 3 bodies were a bit more realistic. But the customization of face details and body details in sims 4 is ultimately better than the previous games, you can make a sim look almost exactly like you whereas the previous games have limits. Sims 3 is also really dark in some areas where it's really difficult to make out objects against floors. Also contrary to the fan base sims 4 is mostly targeted at kids cause newer players don't know what they're missing out on. I have a friend that has never played the previous games and she doesn't even care when I mention features that were in previous games that aren't in sims 4.

@@margret632 Honestly the lighting is bad in all of the games. Sims for looks like has more polygons so the sims don't have spiky or triangular faces. Aaaand, with the right CC, the sims 4 sims look AMAZING. Way more realistic than Sims 3. But I like both. I hate The Sims 4 banana hairs, but Alpha hairs's been getting really god. The only issue is the file size. I have more build/buy objects CC than hair, and still, hairs are like 50gb, and the objects are just about 20gb. Maybe less. But I hope they'll make one last sims game, and it's gonna be great. Hopefully EA wakes up, or disney buys Maxis as well.

literally why did they even introduce mermaids to TS4 if you couldn't go underwater? When I first got the pack I didn't know anything about it except that it had merpeople. I spent a good hour trying to figure out how to go underwater until I realized you couldn't. Literally the biggest thing you can do as a merdaid is ts4 is call dolphins, like what?

I made my own neighborhood in 2, part of it has a big lake and I put beach lots both residential and community, Sims can swim whenever they want, no vacation travels required. But I have to say it was quite difficult to make the lake appear as I wanted, especially because terrain adjusts when you put the beach lot.

1:32 you can place a beach lot in any neighborhood as long as it has enough water for your sims to swim in, pretty sure

The Sims Castaway Stories has better reflections than the sims 2 as ponds can reflect but sadly sims 2 doesn’t have any water physics or details in ponds. Not even sims 3 has reflections in ponds but does look better than the sims 2's. However there is a mod for the Sims 2 to add the feature from castaway stories as it’s a standalone expansion to the Sims 2.

I once played sims 2 as kid I know play sims 3 and started sims 4 some sims 4 is cool like new interactive object and etc but sims 3 has more fun activities and can scuba dive and feel more fun I wish sims 4 took what sims 3 had and just enhanced object and kids like they did and keep it like 3 with many more cool things to do

The Sims 3 prior to Late Night had no reflections in the water whatsoever. Whereas the Sims 2 only had reflections on the neighbourhood view prior to seasons. 3:57
