My guess is that horses are going to be the main focus and free but other animals will be like rabbits in cottage living. They're free and open to interact with but they have a hole where they disappear back into. They can move free like them but they're not that deep like horses

I think they will be more like chickens where they have a place to go to sleep but can roam freely. I see a square hay item in the trailer and in build/buy. I don't think they will have some hole to disappear in.

They wont. I think the sims will ride the horse in a predetermined path, or just ride around the world like we can with dogs or bikes.

I am personally excited about the Arizona theme. I do understand the wish for less US-centric worlds, though, and wish they had chosen elsewhere for more global appeal. I think the map is likely to have a disappointingly low number of lots but the lots will be large. My main concern is horses being pinned to an object like cows have been. Of the mechanics in Sims already (because I am not confident they will create fully new game mechanics for horses), I'd rather see something similar to bikes where we can ride them anywhere... preferably not in the house!

I KNEW it! I knew we we getting sheep and goats! Back when Growing Together released everyone was was going on about the horse hints, but what caught my attention was that random ram ottoman. And I was right! I wonder if this will have cross compatibility with Cat & Dogs so the dogs can herd the sheep. And I hope the goats are super bouncy! 🤞

I hope that we at least can herd our sheep. But how likely will that be? It would require taking them out to graze and group mechanics. We also can't control dogs so it would likely not happen. If we could control dogs without a mod then maybe.

I just really want horses honestly, and more animals wound be nice. I also wish they would increase the household size. I like having big families and pets. 8 is way too limited, and while you could use MC Command to increase it it makes it a pain when you can't use regular cas

i just really hope the new world doesn’t resemble oasis springs and strangerville too much, i was really hoping for more of a texas prairie vibe. i really believe that horses will be free roaming animals and the other animals would probably be more restricted. also it would be nice to have a world with a warmer climate and new weather patterns, seeing that the last couple worlds have the same cooler climates. a world with more sunny days and heat similar to del sol valley would be nice.

I'm honestly so excited if this is all real. I've been wanting another desert world, if they really are doing that "ranch style" look like the concept art from the Sims Summit that's exactly the kind of style I would want for a horse-themed pack, and I have been *yearning* for horses as they were something I absolutely adored in TS3, being the horse-girly that I am at heart xD. I'd be fine with them adding a few other animals that are tied to sheds like in Cottage Living, though I really do hope horses are more like Cats and Dogs - and that they please, oh please, increase our household capacity to like 16, or even like 12, with the pre-EP patch, assuming horses would also count as family members the way C&D do. I also really hope we get some Native American inspired BB and CAS, as I think there really isn't much of that yet, and this would be the perfect opportunity for that kind of representation imo. AHhh I am just so excited for this, cannot wait for the announcement, let's hope it's this coming week!!

I know some ppl disagree but I’m so excited about this world type. I’m located more in a chaparral environment in southern CA and feel like this is perfect for my sim-self save. Oasis springs and strangerville are too desert. San sequoia is too much like the coastal suburb. Del sol valley is very Hollywood/LA area. Also I think it would be really cool if they include some indigenous representation in this pack since I think the Navajo and Apache tribes are located in the AZ/NM area

They gave us the british version of a farm and now giving us the wild west version!! I feel like we will get a LOT of unownable animals except racoons i think. The others will be more like the rabbits birds cows lamas and chickens. I honestly love this because itll flesh out country living too. My top worlds i want next is CHINA! Australia (i mean its the largest producer of exported fruits n veg and sheep soo... perfect) Africa. And lastly i would love a few more european countries id love a british seaside town like where i live right in northumbrian countryside.

Arizona could have some from mystical with Grand Canyon and stuff. Secret lots and stuff you need horses to get to. Idk. As an Arizona native this is the first desert I've been excited to see. Goats and Sheep and maybe a different flavor of cow and chicken i can see. Also I know pigs have been thrown around but since wild pigs here are violent and dangerous I'm not sure pigs are a safe bet.

My guess is that, similar to cottage living, goats and sheep may be like cows, chickens and llamas. Attached to a "shed" or barn stall. Horses will be like cats and dogs with more freedom. Deer, raccoons or some other wild life would be like rabbits and wild foxes. We already have the model and raccoon sounds with "Cats and Dogs," so it would make sense for them to include wild raccoons at least. I've been hoping for a pack with horses for a long time, so any extras are just icing on the cake! 😊

Imagine they add burglars back or like a bandit job which ig would go with the criminal job but still it feels like that's the way they're going with this pack, what if they make the world this pack comes in an open world idk If they could do that without having to make the rest of the worlds open but still they have so much opportunity to make this an amazing pack which makes me exited but I really really hope they don't waste this opportunity. In a way, having more animals besides horses worries me. If it was only horses, they definitely would be free roaming and not stuck to a barn. But if it's focusing more on ranch life, with a variety of animals... eek. Can't wait to find out.

I think this may actually be really risky for a pack theme. I hope that it won't fall like My first pet stuff did, honestly. The fact that goats and sheeps will be here may offend the community, as they'd feel more fitting in Cottage Living. This genuinely feels like Cottage Living Part 2, even though it may be more ranch inspired. And getting another American inspired world is just 🤒

I live in Arizona and the desert isn’t just dirt and cactus 🌵 in fact our high desert is beautiful! I come from a long line of cattle ranchers all from northern Arizona! We have ponderosa pines, Sedona is breath taking and don’t forget the majestic Grand Canyon! For animals we have everything from rattlesnakes and Gila monsters to coyote and bob cats!

I hope like heck that the horses are not stuck, actually I'm guessing that you'll have to round up the sheep so I think there'll be gameplay in that, but I'm guessing that sheep you'll have to buy attached to a feeder or something but then they'll roam and get lost etc. a bit like the chickens rather than like the cows and llama

I'm surprised they didn't take inspiration from Nevada instead of Arizona, seeing that's where the most wild horses live. I looked up where the horses in Arizona are, seeing in the 4 years I lived there I only saw one ranch. Most of them are apparently in the north west area wich make sense because around the Flagg Staff area it gets much greener. (I lived 3 years in Tempe and 1 year in the Sierra Vista area.)

Yeah, it starts to turn too much into "cowboy territory" for me. There is way more to horses than Western. So if they only focused on that aspect, I do hope modders will come through for us and add things like dressage, show jumping, etc...

The horses should be free, or at least have skills and stuff attached to them. I don't mind goats/sheeps/whatever being attached to an object because then it doesn't count towards your household limit, which is probably why the animal shed/coop was an object.
