I could watch you slip all day. Just passed my Sport Pilot at 52 and the group of us training at the same time loved slipping would slip everything to land. My plane a Remos is slippery as hell and I had to get good at slipping all the way to the runway to get the damn thing to successfully short field land for the ACS .... I was sure If I failed it would be for that ..... love the content and keep them coming

Joe another good video! You have so much fun in your cub... I´d like to see an analisis on the feared 180 turn after take off. Not necessarily you fly one if not confortable with, but some discussion would be interesting!

Just started my TW in a ‘46 J3. Excellent stuff! I want to start recording my lessons- what do you use for recording cockpit audio?

Thanks! It’s an “inflight Gopro/intercom” adapter thing. Let me know if you need help finding it

Interesting point, so you recommend (at least in the cub) to be trim neutral in the pattern? Or just in general?
@Bananasssssssss
@Bananasssssssss Жыл бұрын
I think it just depends, on personal preferences, but I’ve always liked just a little nose down trim, this way when I release all “stick pressure” it will immediately push the nose forward. (nothing excessive, just a lil bit )

How much a regular cub cost to purchase???

I picked up this relatively low time (300-ish hours on motor), recovered early 2,000s, in good condition. For $35k. The market now is slightly higher, can get one for arouns $40k +/-

Actually when I learned in a champ that's how landings were done, power off abeam
@Bananasssssssss

This is actually how I do most of my landings too, except on the winter, don’t want to shock cool the motor too much

When flying a Champ I go to 1500 at mid field down wind and pitch and trim for 60 all the way trough final. I do like to go to idle abeam as well sometimes, for some reason it is fun.

@Bananasssssssss
@Bananasssssssss 3 ай бұрын
Occasionally. Depends on whats going on at other airport where they tend to make large patternsz id rather stay below them then them not see me. Only traffic pattern direction is Mandatory

@@Bananasssssssss Ah neat. If you had to do 3 points power off would the touch down point become much harder for you or no?
