At 26:30 it should be -Kt(Zr-Zu) In the model we should multiply the Kt with Zr -Zu

hi i have two questions 1.where did you get the value for force on unsprung mass Fw? 2. how to get value for road input Zr ? should i give it as a sin wave? very helpful if you could answer me asap!

I believe: Multiply the masses by acceleration due to gravity (9.81 or 10), to get the force

Please tell me how you have taken input signal 2 times in simulink model 1 is for road excitation and another for what If we derive equation of motion then also road excitation comes only once so please explain??

In dynamic equation 5.13 it should be -Fw as Fw is acting opposite to unsprung mass acceleration(Fw arrow is shown upward).plz correct me me if i am wrong

This is a equilibrium equation for Free body (m) with zero on the right. Then you bring the variable with the negative sign to the right it becomes positive. So , the Fw is on the left with negative sign. Them if you bring the fw to the right it becomes positive. Hope I cleared your doubt . Thanks for watching the video!!!!

@@hendryraja9360 on the left side of equation m(d^2(zu)/dt^2)[downwards] = cs(zdot-zudot)[damping force acting downwards on mass m]+ks(z - zu)[acting downwards]+kt(zr-zu)[acting downwards]+Fw[acting upwards]......how is it possible it should be -Fw...........in equation 5.12 MZdotdot[downwards] = ks(zu-z)[acting downwards] + cs(zudot - zdot)[acting downwards] +Fb[acting downwards]...........this equation is correct.........plz correct me if i am wrong

hello sir, can you please help me out with obtaining the acceleration (x dot dot ) wrt time and also for the half car model how do i include the pitching angle i.e what block is to be used to include rotational degree of freedom

Hey in order get your sprung mass acceleration just probe the scope b/w the sum block and integrator block in the sprung mass equation.

That scope will give you simulation time vs spring mass acceleration

For half car you need to do moment balance equation as you do for force balance equation.

spring rate is 4600N/M?

Actually we are following SI units in this whole Simulation. So we need to give the spring rate in N/m. If you convert it from N/m to N/mm it will be around 46N/mm. Hope it answers your question!
