Idk why most think that tho, its def one step ahead move.. KAT contract takes 30% of the salary cap for the next 4 years given with rudy contract too it would be so hard to build around AE when things dont work with the rudy-KAT experiment.. trading for randle whos not much of a difference in terms of talent to KAT ( all star and all nba ) while also makes less and will be a free agent next season and could be signed to a much cheaper deal.. and this trade also just note that the wolves want naz reid to step-up and will have a much bigger role other than being rudy or KAT backup. And the most prize possession of the trade donte the guy who averaged 20 ppg on 8 3’s attempts per game at 43% rate after randle goes down in feb gives the wolves much much more aid on offense, will have more flexibility which was one of their holes last season the same reason why they lost to the mavs because of their stagnant offense and donte being here now fills that hole already.. and he only makes 12M for a player of his caliber!!
