Why don't they just create whatever they want? If not: Why would an Alien want to steal a Human body? I was super lost too. The aliens have the ability to create a universe but they need the lifeblood of a simulated person to continue living? The meteor killed me. 10 ton meteor landed in a lake with a splash when it should have taken out everything within at least a mile radius since it should have been traveling at insane speeds. These guys have obviously never heard of kinetic weapons. The body snatcher fellas are simulated individuals themselves that steal people from the pasts' lifeblood and give it a higher being that isn't simulated yet the body snatcher folks "believe" there is a bigger universe bla bla bla. Takes place in Germany, nobody speaks German or even hints at a German accent. Made ZERO sense. So many contradictions and plot holes. Still a very well shot film. Great acting, great visuals, great lighting, great effects. All good stuff. The screenwriting is lacking though. The story has potential but very badly needs to be peer reviewed to get those beyond obvious plot holes out.

Okay, I'm going to go ahead and put this out there because this short film semi describes what I have thought for decades. Now I've always had the inclination that something is different about this world. I believe that the Creator, whatever it is, creates universes almost in the same way that they did on the short. But it's more of a scientific/learning endeavor. Then these beings and there's more than one of them there's probably an entire race of them. And in order to reproduce they have to build a simulated multiverse. By doing so they take little pieces of themselves and implant it into every significant living structure. We call this the soul. But in reality what it is is nothing more than a USB device that's being plugged into our life. It records every single byte of information that is our life. And not only does it record it in this dimension but for every choice we make a new multiverse is made. And our souls energy is reproduced and transferred into the new us. At the end of each version's life, the soul will go to rejoin with other parts of the soul that are across the multiverse. Until the very last subject dies. At that point all the duplicated souls have merged together and then go back to the creator. Thus allowing the Creator to study and analyze everything that the "soul" has learned. Then the "soul" is basically wiped. but just like any technology, when you erase the information, there's still a little bits of information left. And when it gets put into the new subject for learning we end up with what we call deja Vu or past life regression. Those are the little bits of information that didn't erase. Eventually after I don't know how many lifetimes, because I'm not one of them. But let's just say hundreds of experiences in different life forms eventually the soul will be prepared to become a new creator. Or a god, however you want to call it. I believe the "soul" is just another God in training. And it has to learn everything about life and consciousness in order to become one. And in order to learn this the God in training has to experience every type of life form that the cosmos has to offer. I know it's a little bit out there, but it's just something I've thought about since I was probably about 7 or 8 years old. I'm now 46.

Do you notice that after 60 years of sci-fi plots, we then find out that most are fact, more than fiction. I believe we set up or own futures by thinking about them... Remember necessity is the mother of invention! You want a future! You'll have one shaped by your knowledge and fears! We're all part of a huge holographic universe that plays along with our desires! We could all be subconsciously programming this universe with our hopes and dreams! Are we all living in a dream world?

The exposition is waaay too on the nose. You're also relying on too much voice over narration. You guys need a screenwriter to avoid those pitfalls.

If you are volunteering for the position, then by all means, go ahead and show us how it should have been done to make this film better. If you are unable, then by all means, criticize as you wish, but do it in a constructive manner that helps make the products better, don't just suggest how someone else could help because for all you know, they could just end up making it even worse in your opinion.

Very interesting concept.Thought provoking with how it all starts with the Chelyabinsk asteroid bringing the technology to Earth. With the way Oumuamua acted after it entered our solar system it could be a possibility that alien civilisations are trying to contact us from distant systems trying to get our attention now. You deserve all the awards you receive for this short and hopefully you can find more capital for VFX to continue the story. I have followed your facebook page for sometime waiting to see this short, impressive, it was worth the wait. Good luck on future shorts pertaining to this concept and others.

This is pure fantasy. The Aliens dont understand what happens to an asteroid when it hits atmosphere it gets so hot it's like molten glass. And when it hits a body of water it's like a paintball.

Interesting concept. And it also makes sense to travel to Earth disguised as an asteroid to avoid detection.

Cool idea, nice effects, great writing, I write fictional short stories myself, eBook's....to me, this seemed more like an elongated trailer though, yet as a short story writer, about the paranormal, aliens and cryptids, I can appreciate the 'in and out and leave them wanting more' type piece.

"Put the electrodes on your head and let technology do the rest." Sure. That sounds safe.

That technology has been here for 2 decades and it is safe. People have electrodes to prevent epileptic seizures and also for DBS treatment of severe depression.
@dwaneyocum17183 жыл бұрын
@@MICKEYISLOWD I wasn't commenting on the use of electrodes. I was referring to the oversimplified statement, "Put the electrodes on your head and let technology do the rest." It's like going to the doctor and they say, "Drink this, you'll feel better," without telling you what's in the glass. "Yeah, stick on some electrodes and forget about it." Doesn't sound safe to me without knowing what the electrodes are intended to do.

Don't wast your time watching this, there is alot of comments hyping it up as "thought provoking" but the only thoughts it provoked in me was how does it have so many good comments, like did they pay someone to comment from multiple accounts or did the have AI generate comments... How did they do it?!

I couldn't agree more either it is a norm for every monkey to call their short film an award winning one or the ones that award these films are monkeys. This took great efforts no doubt but the narration was just saying too cliche more like the flies on the scheißa than the icing on the cake

I totally agree! For me it was a little jarring to see a short like this that obviously had a big budget and a lot of very smart filmmakers coordinating to put it all together, with a script that seemed very amateurish at best. It was such an interesting idea, but for me it just didn’t hold together, partially due to the short length, but also it seemed disjointed and the ‘missing gaps’ were a bit too wide for me to broach. Hopefully the novel will pull it all in and polish it a bit.
