Wasn't that a title from Bolland and Bolland, not Status Quo , cause they had covered it later ? My dutch friends had parents in the dutch army in germany and they brought that song into school in the early 80s.

Great performance Sina, Status Quo was a very talented group who had hits in the 60s, 70s and 80s. They also had the very intimidating task of opening the monumental Live Aid concert in 1985, but they did it perfectly :)

I spent 8 1/2 years in the U.S. Army. This is a song that I wish had a cadence that would work to run in formation with. Either that, or someone make a marching cadence that would work with the wording. Sina, thanks for bringing it to my attention with your excellent musical gifts!

Wenn ich Status Quo höre, muß ich unweigerlich immer an ihren Song Pictures of Matchstick Man denken, den wir Ende der 60'er gecovert hatten. Sina, es ist wieder einmal erstaunlich, was Du drumtechnisch aus diesem Klassiker von 1986 herausgeholt hast. Der Gesamtklang ist einfach fantastisch, und er übertrifft aus meiner Sicht damit das Original bei weitem. Vielen Dank für Deine und Nils hervorragende Arbeit ! Sollten wir Sina-Fans in der nächsten Zeit weniger von Dir hören, werde ich Dir trotzdem treu bleiben, weil es bei Deinem umfangreichen wertvollen Material aus mehr als 10 Jahren ja noch so viel zu entdecken gibt, was ich teilweise leider oft nur "überflogen" hatte. Ich wünsche Dir und Deinen Kommilitonen ein gutes Gelingen beim Studium in London - und vor allen Dingen weiterhin viel Freude an allen Dingen, die Dir wichtig sind !

The first time I heard of Status Quo was in 1985 when they sang “Rocking All Over The World” and opened up the Live Aid music show. Sina knocked it out of the park with “In The Army Now.”

Great video Sina. The song was by a Dutch duo, Bolland and Bolland who were brothers. It was fairly successful hit for them , but Status Quo , did a simplified cover which was a massive hit for them . Over 90% of the royalties earned by Bolland and Bolland for this song, comes from the Status Quo version. As Rick parfitt said about there version of Rocking all over the world, which as a massive hit for The Quo, the song writers don't complain every year when they receive Quo's royalty cheques payments every year .
