I have a history with this song. Outside an Air Force Base near in Osan Korea in 1969 I asked a sweet girl to dance to it. Needless to say the dance was over before the song ended. I married the girl in 1972 and we lived together until 2020 when she passed away. Thanks to Sina-Drums I have the best version of this song to bring back memories.

Unfortunately I don’t have drums and I don’t know how to play them but I know every single beat of that solo. SINA DOESN’T MISS ONE OF THEM!! Her rendition is simply perfect. My heart explodes of joy and envy. I have been following Sina for years and she and her friends are the most accomplished musicians at their young age. I believe that Andrei was 13 or 14 in their early videos and he was already an incredible guitarist. And all the other performers Sina has featured in her videos have been perfect as well. Congratulations, kids. And, obviously, that these congrats go to the other two musicians who also excelled.

I would like to speak to those that gave this a thumbs down and especially those that made snarky remarks. I have been in music for over 50 years and in my opinion (for what it’s worth) is that this was a very, very good cover. There is no better or best. There is only someone’s interpretation of how they feel the song. There is no age, race, color, or nationality. There is only the music, and it feeds the sole. It’s a matter of personal taste. If you like it listen, I if you don’t, don’t. That being said, talent is talent and this young lady and here friends have boat loads if it! I loved it.

I just wanted to share that I saw Iron Butterfly at their concert back on November of 1969, in what was called Honolulu International Center (HIC), now known as Neil Blaisdell Center. Your drum playing of this drum classic is so right on! By the way, many people wonder where and how this title came about. I read on some online trivia many years ago. I don't know how true it is. But the guys were listening to this that Doug Ingle wrote. They asked him what the name of the song was. They were all so high that Doug Ingle mumbled and what he was trying to say was "In the Garden of Eden". It came out mumbled sounding like he said "In a gadda da vida". And the band member said "Oh that sounds cool!". By the way Doug Ingle passed away just this past May 24, 2024 a age 78. Rest in peace Doug Ingle.You are now in the Garden of Eden! The 8-track was pretty slick except half-way through it had to switch to another track which always spoiled the continuity of the song for me. My wife and I bought a '69 Dodge Charger brand new in '69 and it had a 8-track player. The 8-track tape that was supposed to come with it had been stolen enroute to the dealer. The dealer said go out and get an 8-track you like and they'd reimburse us. In-a-gadda-da-vida was the tape we wanted. Listened to it for hours. Wish we still had that '69 Charger. The tape was well worn out, though.

"Dude" you listened to over 30 minutes of In-A-Gadda-Da-Vidda?? In one setting?? Yes,yes,yes I did ... and I totally loved every minute of it ... and Sina's version is actually... in my opinion... just a little bit BETTER! Rock On Sina ... you are fricking amazing . ❤😎👍👍

Well...first..the organist: This guy is effortlessly perfect..he can even go over his car repair bill while playing this song without missing a note. The bassist/singer: He captured the soul of this song..a dark garden of eden..perfect for this. The guitarist: This is a young man's song and he owned this song for his generation today. Im glad he wasn't a copy of the original..just original for this song which made it fresh for now. Thank you for lending your talents to these young musicians, helping them make their mark in the music world. Andrei - Ya!!!!! Beautiful job with the guitar!! I hope you enjoyed delving into the world of psychedelic heavy metal. This song was credited with ushering in the heavy metal genre. Rock on!!! Christian - Welcome to the Sina revolution of classic rock revival! Awesome job on the vocals and the bass. I played bass as well in my youth, and you absolutely had this! Sina - I'm running out of adjectives, superlatives, and accolades for what you do. Your gift, your talent, your dedication, are beyond commendable. And if your arms weren't feeling like rubber after this piece, then you my dear are a true Wonder Woman! Mike - Yes, you. I don't think people have any idea of what you go through to put something like this together, making this look to seamless and clean. Bravo!! It is so heartwarming and just plain cool of you to put the effort into helping these different artists. You deserve the You Tube video producer of the year for your work. Many fathers would just plug their ears if their son/daughter played the drums. Father of the year? Why not! Over all, this was probably the best rendition of this song I have ever heard. And at 65, and as a teenager when this song came out, I've heard plenty of attempts. I am proud to be a patreon, and wish I could give even more. I bought the original album (vinyl, ask your dad about those), and wore it out. Then the 8 track tape, which eventually snapped from over use. Now I have it again, in an updated, upgraded, up in the clouds version! And from what I know, this will last longer than either the album or the 8 track. =D Thank you all for this!!!

Today is Sept 22, 2020. I’ve been a long time follower of Sina going back to 2000 subs. That said of all of the incredible covers she and her family n friends have done, this recording is my, ‘go to’ as it were. I’m a Vietnam Veteran and flew Chinooks as a flight engineer from 1967-1968. Two weeks before I was to rotate back to the state’s my aircraft was shot up really bad upon landing with a double sling load. I was blown out the back of the aircraft by overpresdure of an ordanance hitting the aircraft. From that point on I don’t remember very much. I woke up laying on my bunk twenty hours later to this incredible piece of music. My room mate had two tall pioneer speakers and the music was full on. I recall hearing the cacophony of different instruments and tempos that had a powerful influence on my awakening and realizing I my foggy mind... THAT I WAS STILL ALIVE. To this very day if could ever state that a piece of music saved or changed my life this one is it. Creators of masterpieces of art seldom realize the depth of emotions they create in the art. For me Iron Butterfly is the creator of the original. However Sina and friends, with their incredible production and musical talents have put a beautiful finish to this long dusty piece of art. THANK YOU Sina.

I was around when the original came out. It totally blew me away and has always been one of my all-time favorites. I clicked on this with some trepidation, not wanting to listen to a butchered version. My fears were totally unfounded. As good as the original? No, but then there can only be one original. But this is a faithful reproduction with some excellent work done by all concerned. Sina's work on the drums is e-x-c-e-p-t-i-o-n-a-l. She has quite obviously poured herself into this reproduction of what is, in my opinion, arguably the finest drum solo in all of rock and roll. Kudos to her and her fellow musicians in this well-produced, excellently performed piece. Thanks so much. It was a joy to watch and listen.

For those who don't know, When this song was first recorded, the group Iron Butterfly was drinking red wine and smoking pot between takes. They did over 20 takes to get it perfect and as they kept playing they were getting more and more wasted. By the final recording the lead singer was slurring his words and it came out "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" but real words were " In the Garden of Eden" baby. - They ended up keeping the final track and changing the title of the song. (lol) That's a true story.
@Frank-Lee-Speeking9 ай бұрын
I hadn't heard that story before and I go back to when this was a new song :-) It reminds me of a Simpsons episode where the Simpsons are in church and the Reverend Lovejoy turns to the organist to play a hymn. She plays the organ part of "In the Garden of Eden" - with a flash forward to skip most of the solos - and then ends the song 17 minutes later, exhausted. Meanwhile, the church lights are mostly out and the entire congregation has raised lighters just as we used to do back in the day....

First, there is the original, and I agree, the original is always the best. After that, there are covers and variations or "artistic interpretations". A cover can be true to the original, or it can vary and be interpreted differently. However, this cover, as with all of Sina's covers, remains exceptionally true to the original. In my mind, this cover went one step further: this was a near match, note for note, making this much more than your basic cover, and that's no accident. That's why Sina has so many of us old folks following her. Throw in modern recording and playback equipment and it's even better.

I love the drum solo, especially the section with the subtle high hat and then the great organ accompaniment

This cover doesn't lose anything from the original. Someone may argue this cover is even better. One of the great marathon songs played expertly. Great job, Sina and friends.

sina is awesome she is 20 even thow she looks alot younger .she has alot of talent and can play other instruments as well as her friends .they have all gone to music school and work very hard to give us many great songs . please do me a favor and if u give other famous people comments let them know how much u also injoy sina-drums@thegirlsgotgroove so we can help get her noticed and bring all her talent to another level.thanks america would be so much better with a generation full of people as great as sina and her friends .and if money is tight at least we can each support her by telling everyone how much you enjoy sina and her music also by sending her link sina-drums@thegirlsgotgroove to other celeberties who may like to enjoy what she shares with us everyday and also how much enjoyment we could get from seeing her play with someone like your favorite band ..now wouldent that take ur breath away ? ...btw sina has 343 youtube videos and 832k subscribers thank you for your support and adds she appreaciate it .thank you another sina fan jerry

Ron Bushy's drum solo on this number is legendary & anyone from that generation still remembers it like it was played yesterday, Sina honoured that legacy with a flawless rendition & Ron would be proud ! I still have the album.
