It's a shame, that mall. Back when I used to live in singapore the exact same thing happened to a personal favourite of mine, the Tanglin shopping center, It had possibly the last few antique shops in Central Singapore, and I went on a real shopping spree on the last week it was open. i’m a fragrance head way before I got into wet shaving & the world of perfumery is fascinating. some companys date back to the 17th/18th centuries by alchemists & apothecarists who would mix the scents of fresh raw materials picked from the landscape for royalty. some company’s still going strong today in london & around europe are actually still family run centuries later & have archives dating back to some of the first recipes ever used in perfumery. it’s highly confidential but they have the means to duplicate the exact fragrances worn by kings & queens centuries ago. also why we go “nose blind” to scents is because our noses are designed to sense changes in smells not lingering smells. it’s a survival instinct. fascinating stuff. we don’t have barbasol here in australia

Awesome hang!!! I've lived where I have lived for many years and I, too, have seen things go away or change. There's value in nostalgia and in remembering what used to be--both the good and bad. I've been spotty in viewing the last few months. I have a lot going on, but I catch up when I can't watch the latest release. Oh, and I'D LOVE TO WIN THAT TRAVEL BAG!!! Hey, I’d love to win that Gravel bag (and/or the shaving soap)! And the Barbasol too, love a good can of Barbasol. Even as I’ve gotten into wet shaving and using brushes and shaving soaps, sometimes a can of Barbasol just feels right. P.S. I was born in Austin but moved away at a pretty young age so I don’t know much about it. Sounds like you like it there, though, so that’s neat.

As for eating sloppy sinful things... Mine is Burger King Whopper Cheese... Freshly made, standing in the freezing rain outside the car crying at a truck stop, wolfing it down while wife and kids have a tinkle break on a road trip. Back in the car... Me: *burp* Everyone: "What did you eat?" Me: Nothing.... As for Gravel... They have 4 or 5 different scents. The leather one is great... I think they are like US $175, which is like ONE MILLION in Canadian Pesos... Unfortunately, they are doomed (IMHO) if they can't figure out the pricing. Sadly. The world is smaller now and there are some amazing things coming out of UAE that slays Gravel to a pulp on quality, variety, presentation and most importantly - pricing.
