The song came out in 1984. Mega Hit. The band name is Wham! It's mainly just George Michael and Andrew Rigeley (the guitarist). They had been friends from age 12 until George's death in 2016. Saw them in concert in 1985. It was awesome!

Though wasn't until 1995 that I found out who George Michael was, and that he and Andrew Ridgley were Wham! I've been loving their music ever since.
