I started writing when I was 11-12 years old. I am now 16 years old and I have tried to write many times until today, albeit with long breaks. Although I love to write, I have never completed any of my previous stories because I did not feel comfortable with them. I am currently in the outlining phase of a fantasy series called "Caelum". (It will be 3 books, Daylight, Moonlight and The confrontation of the sun and the moon). This time everything is more detailed than ever before, the fiction in my head is very clear. I'm very excited and watching videos like this inspires me. (I'm writing in Turkish but this one has a really big potential so I definitely want to translate it into English if it gets published)

i had this idea of a novel, however i am really bad at planning so your videos help me a lot! i'm kinda here for advice on if my book idea is at least good. usually, when i have an idea i write for a week and then loose interest, except this idea has been plaguing me for a month so it's safe to say i'm interested. basically, there are a few characters (maxi caerwyn , the main character, roux banning, jinx christabel, carrie gwenore, and sorrell donn) that all go to Lincoln High, which has been experiencing some murders occurring. the first, was at a performance where carrie was the main character in the play, where someone fell through the stage's floor and found the body of Seva Inbar. And then the second murder, in the cafeteria's back room, where Naim Dorinda had died as well. it's all the same murderer, and as more murders occur, Maxi realized that she knows who the killer is. and she feels guilty about telling anyone who it is but they're a murderer. it's a story about survivors guilt and internal conflict, which is something i have been experiencing lately. i've already planned some of it (watching this video helped me so so much!!) so i'm at least gonna write a first draft. if anyone wants to let me know what they think i would love to hear feedback! great video, i'll be sure to watch more!

I'm a teen writer (fourteen at the time writing this comment) and so far the only stories I have published are wattpad fanfic from many years ago. I have deleted the all because I couldn't stan how poorly written they were and how many grammatical and phrasing errors there were (English is not my first language and at the time I wasn't very goot at it), but lately I've been watching many videos like this and they inspired me to start writing longer stories instead of the usual 1000-4000 character ones I keep to myself and my friends. I hope this new project goes well and if it does I hope to be able to publish it. These type of video are very inspiring for me as well as many other authors out there, so thank you and good luck to you and all your future projects!

This was such a fun vlog to watch! I love the idea of a "headlight" writer - I've never heard that before. I also love using the ennegram to learn more about my characters. I'm not sure how much backstory you are doing for your characters, but each ennegram number has a different childhood trauma, that I have found helps build my characters. Type 4's wound is abandonment - they have either been physically or emotionally left by those closest to them, so they assume others will continue to abandon them. Type 3's wound is believing they themselves are worthless because they have only ever mattered for what they did, rather than who they are. You may have already known this, but it is so helpful to me when writing that I wanted to share! Sending lots of love for this project
@sincerelyvee2 жыл бұрын

I would like to tell you the names of my characters and the meanings if that’s ok! Melody: Song and Music. I don’t actually have a specific reason, I just think she’s sweet and her moods swing like a playlist. Mila: industrial, hardworking. She is an inventor and she works really hard on everything she does because I just has to be perfect and not sloppy like SOME PEOPLE. Sarco: Flesh. By his abuser he was forced to eat other people in the castle. Maya: only figured this out recently, but it was perfect. It means Illusion or Dream and the reason she does all the bad things she does is because of a dream she had. BRAVO!

Hii, I am 13 years old and a few years ago I recently found out that I want to be a writer and I’ve always enjoyed writing stories when I was younger. I want to start my first book but I don’t know where to start with my book or how to plot it, I also don’t have a computer I have a iPad.
@sincerelyvee2 жыл бұрын
hey haley! the great thing about novels is that they can be written anywhere! notebooks, loose paper, computers and ipads work too! as long as you can put down words :) as for where to start i would first figure out if you're a plotter (someone who needs to outline what happens in there book before writing it) or a pantser (someone who simply starts writing and likes to see where the story takes them). if you're a pantser, i would start by figuring out a clear story idea that you want to write and one (or multiple) fully fleshed out main characters so that when you start writing you have something to work with! if you're a plotter, i highly recommend following some of the steps i take in this video to outline your novel before writing. the next step is just to write and let your story unfold!! if you want a more in depth answer i'll consider making a video about where to start when it comes to writing :) hope this helps💓

I’m fifteen, I’ve always loved writing stories and things of that nature since I was very young. As of recent years I’ve been far more strongly desiring to becoming a self published author. I want to go to college and major in creative writing. It is very discouraging being often told that I should just give up on it due to it not being able to “make me a lot of money,” or not being something “I’ll find a job for right when I graduate.” A part of my head often tells me to give up and become a doctor but my heart wants to take the risks. I don’t know what to do 😅

Would you mind telling me what you’re supposed to do after you finish your first draft? Like do I send it to an online editor, self publish, send it to a publisher, etc? There are many conflicting recommendations online and I’d love to know what your process is.
@sincerelyvee Жыл бұрын
everyone definitely has their own way of tackling their books from start to finish and that’s totally okay because there’s no right or wrong way! personally, i after writing my first draft i let it sit for a period of time before picking it back up with fresh eyes and reading it over while making edits. i then use those edits to make a more refined second draft! hopefully that helps, feel free to ask more💗

i loved watching this it honestly helped me get some inspo for my wip but i do wanna let you know that there is a character already named jordan wilder from a book/tv show called "famous in love", which sounds kind of similar to your project, judging by the name "into the limelight"!
