After watching several of his tutorial vids i have come to the conclusion that this gentleman should set up a math&science teacher training program designed specifically for educators becus we all know how bad things are out here where maths & science teachers are concerned, his teaching is style is incredibly engaging and easy fo follow, it's literally everything we would want from our own school teachers but sadly we get the opposite

I agree.. Even though it is a small topic, the depth of explanation is mind boggling. This is the best explanation that anyone could ever ask for. Subscribed.!!!

I just watched a video you posted 9 years ago about variance. I'm taking a course on statistics for the first time at 36 y/o, after not touching statistics after high school and then proceeding to do philosophy in college and teach English and Music for the past 10 years. Poking around more, I see that you have dedicated more than a decade of your life teaching in front a camera and posting on KZbin, but what struck me the most emotionally was seeing you transform over your years of teaching. You've truly given your life tirelessly to advance the learning of so many, reaching probably more students than many of us ever will in our lifetimes before it was possible for people to do so through the internet. My most respectful salutations to you sir!

I really sincerely appreciate your kind words! Yeah I started this just before KZbin really became a thing, and have aged in front of the camera!

Thank you for instructing us as you go. It helps me stay on the same page as you, as we go through the lesson. For example, @2:59 "...you need to be able to draw it." I did not know how to draw it off the top of my head so I paused the video and practiced. Then continued the video. Thank you!

Thank you, sir! after watching your video, I have a much better, clearer idea of the sine and cosine functions.

It is very valuable lesson for every students. Thank you, Mr.Gibson! Moving advance, I have problem in understanding how regular sine function can create many forms of sinusoid wave functions, like square wave, saw wave, triangle wave, etc. in Fourier Transform. Especially, I do not have clear ideas how electrical engineers build up circuits to generate square wave shape signal in communication. Modulation and demodulation in world of analog and digital is also a mystery to me. I am not so sure you covered those related topics on Math & Science yet. If not yet, I hope I can find them in your future lessons.

i absolutely love you as a teacher. you exlpain everything well enough that even i can understand it buy more then that you derive where things come from rather then just giving us a formula. you really care about us knowing these things, rether then just preparing us for the next test. i appreciate that. also i thought it was funny when you said "ever heard of a megaherz?"

Thank you for this tutorial--I've been trying to build out something on biorhythm and familiarizing myself with Sin() and what excel can handle. Just one suggestion would be to note that Sin() in excel uses the radian and NOT degrees and maybe show a data set with 1 thru 360, how to convert by 1 * PI()/180 and so on and then Sin(result1) so on from there graph and from there add cell A1 for Sin(result1) + A1 and then maybe B1 for Sin(B1*result1) + A1 and maybe C1 for C1*Sin(B1*result1) + A1 showing that the user can have 0 in A1 and 1 and 1 respectively in B1 and C1, then the impact if we change these #s to the graph. Thank you again, I like your approach to teaching this material.

I am a member of his math tutor site.l have algebra structure and method book2 l follow his lessons from it but it ends pretty much here l like to see added lessons on polar coordinates vectors, inverse sine and cosine graphs, trigonometric identities, unless l overlooked it. Hope you can add units 22 and 23 on algebra 2 course. I do not like other instructors online you teach very clear.

If the periods of sine function changes,we need to change the coordinate points on the unit circle accordingly in order to draw their graph, I think.

Hi Mr.Jason - I am stuck with the x-intercepts points for the function f(x) = 2 Sin (-x-pi/2)+1 While the period is 2pi and a vertical shift of +1 I am not able to figure out why the first x-intercept is pi/3 and not pi/2 Any suggestion is much appreciated. And THANK YOU for your outstanding videos they are so awesome!!!
