I chose a version that includes the verse declaring "He rose" and changes that verse to say "glory" instead of "tremble". Those changes brighten up the song, but not too much to hinder the beautiful purpose it has served for over a century to get people somberly reflecting on an amazingly wonderful, loving Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
