#tulgeywoodtvtuesday From the the Walter J. Brown Media Archives & Peabody Awards Collection comes an ultra-rare clip from Captain Kangaroo. Only a handful of complete episodes of the groundbreaking children's TV series exist, and most of those are in black-and-white. The Brown Media Archives contains an amazingly pristine COLOR episode complete with original commercials. I have never EVER seen the old Treasure House in color before, what a treat!!! Thank you Jim. Here's a trivia tidbit for you, though you probably already know it: Captain Kangaroo's cufflinks were the CBS eye logo...! Happy New Year to you.

The color prints of the 1960s episodes are very rare. Even most if not all of those few existing episodes that were broadcast in color are only available in b&w prints. And that is cool about the CBS eye logo cuff links. I believe I display a photo of CK where you can see the cufflinks in one of my previous videos. Thanks so much for watching!

Wow! What memories. All I needed were all the ping pong balls falling to make it complete. In this case I suppose it would have had to have been snowflakes to be seasonal. Thanks for sharing this Jim and Happy New Year.
