I have been in such a dark place. As dark as one can get. Thank you, thank you God for bringing me to this message tonight. Never heard of this preacher, but God brought me here. My heart is opened now, ever so slightly to let the light in. God, give me the ability to sing in the darkness.

I too was in a dark place. In short, very anti Christian for many years due to upbringing, thought about leaving my family, got cancer, lost my job, almost failed my marriage. Not once did God give up on me. Found God and Jesus only 2 years ago. Has been so amazing. You got this.

Pastor Gary. Thank you. This is my third time listening to this message. There is great darkness with a broken heart and grief, when your young adult children tell you they don’t want to see or talk to you unless you affirm their delusion, and “love” them more than that “fake man in the sky” whose book authors were homophobic. Who tell you they will come back around to relationship once you fix yourself. And yet…I love God first and my children after Him. That will never change. And so I will sing to God in the darkness.

Your question if you could do what Paul and Silus did, singing and praying in their situation is I believe only answered when and if we would ever be in such situations, I pray we never will be of course, I had to think of Richard Wurmbrand , how he was imprisoned in his native Romania for fourteen years, when I read his story, I too thought , I'd never be able to do what he did.. yet again we don't know really.. 14:47 Maybe the girl just wanted to get delivered by Paul and Silas and not have demons in her anymore. It sounds like she was crying out for deliverance/to get saved by following Paul and Silas, following them around for that many days. Probably desperate at that point. Being a slave is bad enough, being a slave and demon possessed is horrible. Hopefully getting delivered and not being demon possessed would be a step up.
