So Nikki IS human! She's seemingly such a natural performer, and it's interesting to learn that she "struggles" or even feels "nervous." Loved the honest talk. Thanks, Crafty and Nikki! God bless from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 🙏

Great chat! Nikki is surprising in her age group! Never would have pegged her for her age group! So neat to hear about the prep, the group, and the thoughts of the performers.

A great interview Crafty, so comfortable to watch you two, like old friends chillin and chattin on a couch. I like watching you and Nikki interact when doing a song. The whole band is always in sinc and seems to have a lot of fun playing the music. Dartin is a great arranger and producdrer. Niki has become my favourite singer of all time. Grest voice range, and the way she interpret the songs using everything she has to mske believe she is singing to someone special. I prefer listening to Sing It Live than the original bands . Sing it Live pitsca new spon on all the songs they do. So much energy and fun to watch and listen to. Thank you. Michael Chapman Canada

Every time I hear you guys say Adelaide, I hear “At L.A.” and I think awesome they’re coming to the States (Los Angelos) You guys do such a great job, and I know you all have busy lives, but have you ever entertained the idea of coming to L.A. or Vegas for a short stint? Anyway keep up the good work. I always enjoy what you guys do. Peace and Blessings! Matt

This is more fun than the song. Niki your daughters are both stunning also. This was a great performance “the video” by the whole band…. But you have had so many as the lead singer. True Pro

Bless both of you music nerds! You're not alone! On the subject of learning a complex singing/playing part, the necessary repetition involved, I go back to my days of having to do that in a working band. The memory that stands out to me the most is when trying to sing the backing vox to MJ's Beat It while playing the bass line. It took me an entire weekend to be able to do it without a glitch. I'm so glad I did it though, because without the specific part I learned, it wouldn't sound right without it. The dissonant note part that absolutely makes that chorus. I made a tape loop of that chorus, playing along and singing to it, over and over...

Great insights into the process. Sometimes us viewers get sucked into thinking that because you are all so talented, all you need to do is rock up and plug in. Great reminder that even the best need to put in the hard work, study and practice. And the uncertainty about how it will all look and sound makes it all the more 'human' and relatable - why AI will never replace live performance. Also a reminder that Singit Live is not a band, but rather professional musicians coming together to collaborate and contribute parts. The results are always brilliant. Thanks and keep the videos coming!

not a first song , where kick drum is not heard. tell darren to equalize kick higher, about 2 kHz, or use sample. kick and snare must be in front, otherwise song will lost rhythmic. especially in songs that have a lot of energy
@Crunkboy415
@Crunkboy415 Жыл бұрын
It's noticeable during the verses, maybe bring the guitars down a bit. I think it's ok in the chorus because in the original song it gets a little crowded with the guitars coming in strong with Kelly's voice.
@Bet-vx3fg
@Bet-vx3fg Жыл бұрын
@@Crunkboy415 kick and snare parametric equalization will help, maybe little sidechain compressor. Same issue in song 'We Built This City'. Easiest way is use kick sample and blend over recorded microphone sound. Also Pro Tools Beat Detective solve lot of drums phase issues. I am sure Logic has similar feature.

I mix my own way and most (well let’s say over 90% of listeners) are happy with the sound. Non professionals are more concerned if the vocals are too soft 🤷🏽‍♂️ and professional studio guys can get caught up in details like this but if I get caught up in it I’d never be able to continue producing online. I don’t mean to offend anyone at all when I remind you of the old saying (from Confucius I think 😅) ‘Opinions are like a$$holes….everyone has one’ 👊🏽 Rock on 🤟🏽
