That piano playing was by no means "average." Don't insult yourself Darren, it was exceptional. Lovely interview as ever, just what you need for a song of this calibre.

Hey Crafty much appreciation 4 these clips. I learned that I don't know MUSIC as well as I thought. The process of 'constructing' a song with ALL its parts is FAR more involved. TY 4 answering questions that MANY of us would have. Also seeing a more 'serious' side of YOU was so fitting 4 such a Beauty of a song. The glasses were u all the way, in character. . . The slide guitar @ all the right moments from TZAN. It was intoxicatingly beautiful ❤

I love seeing your Behind the Sounds videos! It's amazing to me how much actually goes into the production of one song! And, the Glasses were a Great touch! Darren was right he wouldn't have looked natural wearing them, but with your style and personallity it really was a good touch to bring in energy and interest into the performance! Thanks!

thanks for those vids, they bring me back to my 16' to 25' when I was in a band, I refind all the little details, ambiances that I loved so much, chalenges, directives and subtility that makes a cool song a "woaw" song. they're the perfect complement for the singit live vids.

Always learn something from these "Behind the sound" insights - indeed I don't think I listen to songs the same way nowadays - I have a deeper appreciation for the amazing detail, planning and talent that goes in to the few minutes of excellence we see each and every week - There's nothing "average" about anything Darren and the singitlive crew create

Hi Crafty, another great "behind the sound" video. The more times you are on SIL the better it is for us because we get two for the price of one. Lol.

Thanks for your generosity in sharing the background in making this video. As a bedroom Musso I find it fascinating, and it shows just how talented you guys are. The magic only happens if you work at it. THANKS GUYS.

My first visit to a Behind the Sound video. Nice job! While not trained in music (at all... I do it all by ear), I'm happy to say that what Darren was saying about Mario's approach is something I noticed as the song progressed. Can't say enough about the talent of this group. Must be a great feeling to be part of something like this. Cheers!

Love the song. As always a wonderful performance by everyone. Could listen to Darren explaining the process for hours, so thanks for doing this BTS Crafty. Personally I enjoy all of Eltons early work but that's my age I guess. Would love to hear your take on Tiny Dancer for example. Keep up the good work!

Love these videos. I like the fact that you understand that the way acoustic fits into these mixes involves playing just a few strings, not banging across all 6 like a sidewalk busker.

Crafty, I'm glad "it's gonna be a long long time" before you stop making these videos! You've put together a nice catalog of them, all with great interviews and editing. Thanks Darren for indulging us in so many details. Sing it Live really elevated this song. Beautiful guitar sounds and outstanding vocals all around! Darren: could you sing 'Dirty Work' by Steely Dan? You'd crush it. (It was sung by David Palmer instead of Donald.) And of course, 'Do it Again' which is almost hypnotic. More Steely please!!! 🤩

Definitely more Elton John! Don't go breaking my heart Darren (with Nikki) would be a good choice. Darren does a great Elton John and Nikki with her awesome vocals and bright smile would make an ideal Kiki Dee just an opinion

I thought you guys did an amazing job on this. The Bass player nailed Dee Murray's bass part and I found your way of mixing the piano very interesting. I use AKG 414 XL 's on my piano and it does not sound as good as Darren's set up.

Darren's comment about the Eagles blocking videos makes me wonder if SIL makes any $ doing this. I assume all the videos get claimed and take the ad revenue.
