Brilliant explanations Crafty, so many people without a musical background don't appreciate the multiple layers and synergy that is needed to put a song together. With a cover it's even more important as the listener knows what to expect and missing a subtle nuance can make all the difference......you guys, a team of professionals make it look easy, I know very well when playing in cover bands back in the 80s how much time and effort and practice it takes to prepare a flawless cover like you guys did on Beat it, not to mention doing it week in week out. Once all you guys provide your "ingredients " Masterchef Darren does his magic, adding a sprinkle of this, a splash of that and mixing everything to perfection. Thanks to Darren and all the Sing It Live musicians, not only on this excellent track, but all the previous ones AND the ones still in his fevered brain!!! As a non-musician, but a lifelong fan of really great music, taking a look behind the final, polished, work really helps me to understand the sheer EFFORT that goes into a classic song, not to mention the TALENT too. There are many nay-sayers who will nitpick over the smallest details, but haven’t the skills to come anywhere close to recreating the multitude of layers and sounds contained in most modern music! It must be even more challenging, working on a brand new song, trying out so many different sounds and arrangements, before coming up with the definitive mix!!! Keep up your fantastic work guys!!!
