My Jazz band played this a few years back. It was awesome to play, and even more fun when the drummer managed to take a 15 minute solo (the rest of the band had time to run across the street to Starbucks, pick up drinks, and come back before he was finished). Spectacular.

Correction - in a lot of Big Band music the written solos are expected to be followed, out of tradition. In more modern Big Band arrangements perhaps not, but in the early stuff - Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller etc, solos were deliberately written out.
