Just got off SQ34 (SIN-SFO) last night. We took SQ31 (SFO-SIN) in early August. We had booked PE tickets for this trip through Sing’s Black Friday sale, so the fare was $1399 round trip per person. We’ve taken SQ in business (using points) a few times, and it’s fantastic, even on these 15+ hour routes. The service is still fantastic, and the food is also quite good in PE, but at 6’2” tall, even the extra leg room wasn’t enough. The seat seemed pretty narrow compared to ANA and JAL, our usual PE airlines. I found it pretty hard to get comfortable in the seat and it was almost impossible to sleep. My wife, a foot shorter, had no issues. Perhaps on a little shorter flight, it would be better, but I can’t do 15 hours in that kind of seat.

I loved my ULH to Manila from LAX on SIA. The customer service was impeccable, it was my fellow customers I could have done without. Had my seat kicked by a fussy toddler for about two hours, and the passenger next to me built a fort with pillow and inflatable ottomans. Yes, I was in the front row. I Booked the Cook, and was actually served first. Also, my wifi wouldn't engage because of my sk miles number. But, the in-flight entertainment satisfied me. Also, I didn't realize that amenities were only available upon request. Still, I would fly them again.

I’m thinking about this cabin class for my next trip from Cape Town to Bali, Singapore AL really let me down when Covid took the world hostage and left me stranded for 3 months and didn’t inform me that my flight home was canceled by that time my flight was due l could have booked and returned with Qatar in time 🤬 Unfortunately Qatars flights are just too long for me.

Premium economy Vs Extra Legroom standard economy seat, which is more comfortable? Just comfort, not food, not usb ports etc, just comfort?

@@cathhl2440basically I am 6’2 and I am looking for legroom. In economy I always travel in extra legroom seats. I know there are taller people than me. I have booked PE, non extra legroom seat. Hopefully i will be okay?

how easy is it to pick your seats in premium economy? ‎I flew with air Mexico ‎and seat selection for their version of premium economy was a nightmare. ‎I didn t even get premium economy for about half of my flights.

We travelled Singapore/Melbourne a380 premium economy in May and it was rubbish. Sat in front row and no drinks offered and no meal till breakfast which was rubbish. This is a promotional video.

Figured as much. Just pay for business and get an actual premium experience. I feel these were made so they can justify raising the rates on business and first.

It’s not all about the seat and food, you need to look at the overall experience - priority booking in and boarding, extra luggage for one case at 32 kg and not a stupid x2 x 23 kg for most airlines on economy, who wants two cases. Yes - seats are far more comfortable than economy and of course you getting more miles for your choice.
