ABOUT THE SHOW: Up till the 1970s, Singapore's southern islands had vibrant island communities with unique identities. But today, names like Pulau Tekukor and Pulau Seringat have become largely unfamiliar to Singaporeans. Likewise, while reclamation has increased Singapore's land area by 25% in the last 200 years, some islands like Pulau Seking have been merged with other islands, and their names are now confined to history. But there is still much to be learnt from the 40-plus islands that make up Singapore today, and the people passionate about them.

Great video and this is awesome.....restoration of the Tua Pek Kong Temple and thumbs up to Mr Vincent. A great guy indeed! I've worked with many of the residents since mid 70s and sadly, many have passed on. Am glad to see the Ah Ma's Drink Stall (Mdm Ong) has made so much improvements to the Stall. While conducting a Survey at her home, a colleague accidently got hurt and one of her daughters, got a leaf from the aloe vera plant nearby, to tend the wound.....great and friendly people. Hope that I'll get to visit the island again as, it has a special place in my heart. I also wish that the island will continue to remain as it is.......thank you for sharing this awesome video.

Great job there scenery up above. Absolutely gorgeous lush and green. Memorizing deep blue waters!. " Pulau Ubin " the name is profoundly in Bahasa Malay. This shows earliest settlers was Malays. Any Malays population there?. If there is, interesting as well to learned how they live their life on Pulau Ubin. Thanks.

One of the few islands in Singapore left for week end get away from the city hustle and buster life . The air and noise here is much breathable and tolerable than main island.

Chris Borga yes it’s near woodlands. but i believe the only way to get there is by bumboat from Changi Village, which is on the extreme east end of Singapore. so actually not near woodlands 😝

But very realistic, the west side of Ubin that no longer has Kampong should be considered for urbanisation. From the quarry onwards into the East, like legit should not touch. Its nice to not have to go Malaysia to see mangroves.

Looks fun, thinking about the dinosaur crocodile though, issit really alot? I wonder why the ruling statement creation is here that they can just wear old feature face to set rules in country? Heard like that. The point of adventure imagination, like japanese and dinosaur crocodile accidentally let them appear like we sacrificed our younger days to not enjoy in life. There's definitely something nice here, if not nobody create a structure.

If you are a bit on the top of things, you would have noticed there were a few beautiful videos recently showing the unique sides of Singapore. Especially those with no commercial background and aim, or at least not a commercial point as the main point. That has been done rarely in the past. I welcome these videos. We can't live without money but we can't live from money alone. Many people need to relearn this.
