Singapore: Lawrence Wong To Replace Lee Hsien Loong As Prime Minister
Singapore’s Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has decided to step down from his duties. He announced that he would pass the reins to his current Deputy Prime Minister, Lawrence Wong, on May 15. This will be Singapore’s first leadership change in the past 20 years. 72-year-old Lee had planned to step down from his duties in 2020, but his plans were disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Post which he has actively endorsed Lawrence as the new generation leader. He wanted to do it before Singapore’s general election. Lawrence says that he is honoured to accept this responsibility as Singapore’s new Prime Minister.

He Step Down... He didn't 'Resign'... Sad that you can't tell the different or use the word Resign as a click-bait.

Resign is not a suitable word. Passing the leadership baton to the next leader. Western powers with flaw political system will not understand. We adopt the British parliament system, revamp it and make it better to serve the ppl.

What resign, that is not the right word, he has already said long ago, he will step down n let the next pm takes over, he will still remain as senior minister in the government. Thank you Mr Lee for the hardwork, wish you had taken over as pm much earlier, nevertheless, you did so well for Singapore n Singaporean, so proud of you n grateful too. Mr Wong, i am glad, you are the one that i hope you will be the pm n you fit wearimg tge shoe n hat. Looking forward to another brilliant leadership ❤❤❤

His idea is the last minute before the general election, so the new caretaker to win on his own merit, but somehow changed his mind and quickly announce the takeover in one month flat. Is he feeling ok, any news on his health.

Every single parliamentarian in India under the age of 30 is a member of a political dynasty. If you want to see nepotism and corruption in politics, look at INDIA! The world's largest corrupt democracy!

Not an impressive message at all and need time to improve his communication skills and content. Doing his best is hardly a commitment from a future leader because a leader strives on vision, energy, wisdom and foresight while the rest can be done by his Ministers.

Take some medicine if you r in depression. And remind you not to buy a Ferrari for your kid if you see your neighbor bought one, likewise it takes no brainier to understand, if your friend bought a size 10 swimming trunk, you don't need to buy one to fit yourself in.

@@peaceleader7315 The best and most capable leads. As simple as that. And it is near to a sure win. But how many countries practise meritocracy? They always create obstacles themselves or their corrupt and inefficient political system is so embedded for such a long time that they can't change.
