Singapore National Day Parade NDP 2024 Fireworks

what a colourful firework display! i had a memorable moment of witnessing the NDP parade rehearsal during my time in Singapore earlier this month. on the eve of the rehearsal, the roads linking to the padang were partially closed. on the following day, I noticed a few bus stops were skipped due to the road closures for the rehearsal while on my way to the Shenton Way mrt from Balestier for my trip to the east coast region using the new TEL4 line. in the evening, many people gathered around the city including the Bay East Garden where they witnessed the helicopters carrying a huge national flag. While walking along the Benjamin Sheares Bridge, I saw a platoon for the 21-gun salute sailing past the Bay East Garden and the red lions' skydiving display. i also observed how tight the security was after being redirected back to the City Hall MRT by military personnel. fortunately, I made to the Victoria Theatre just in time for the parade to march out from the Padang stage. i felt privileged to witness both the colour regiment and corporate contingents marching out in the backdrop of the old supreme court building with a beautiful pink hue sunset.

This year there were 4 NE shows, so the one that was originally the 3rd combined rehearsal became the 1st NE show. Yesterday was NE4

the samsung galaxy s24 ultra is capable of 100x zoom. For this video, I used 30x zoom towards the fireworks shell tubes

Try to stay in the vicinity of the Merlion, expect very large crowds on 9th August (advise to arrive early). You can see: 6pm to 7pm: Red Lion Parachutes State Flag Flypast RSAF Flypast 21 Gun Salute 7pm to 8pm RSAF Flypast Small Fireworks Around 8:15pm Main fireworks
