Singapore Newest Hawker Centre | Bukit Canberra Hawker Center
Once a demolished wet market and hawker centre, Bukit Canberra has now been transformed into a state-of-the-art integrated sports and community hub that is set to impress even the most discerning visitors. Located next to the Sembawang MRT station, this hub is a mixed-use development that offers something for everyone.
One of the key features of Bukit Canberra is its impressive range of sports facilities, including an indoor sports hall, five swimming pools (including an Olympic-sized one), and the largest ActiveSG gym in Singapore. There are even 3km of running trails throughout the development, catering to runners of various abilities.
However, Bukit Canberra is not just about sports. The hub also houses a polyclinic, a senior care centre, and a childcare centre, making it an ideal location for families and those who require medical care. In addition, visitors can look forward to a public library in 2024, housed in the historic Canberra House, formerly known as Admiralty House.
Of course, no community hub is complete without a food and beverage facility, and Bukit Canberra's 800-seat hawker centre is sure to delight visitors with its 43 operational stalls selling a variety of Asian food, including halal and Indian fare. What's more, around one-tenth of the stalls are operated by Sembawang residents, giving the hub a truly community-centric feel.
Overall, Bukit Canberra is a shining example of how a once run-down area can be transformed into a modern and thriving community hub that provides a wide range of facilities and services for the benefit of all.

The Canberra Hawker Center is large, with 800 seats, and our eyes are drawn to many delicious-looking menus 🎶 There are also 5 pools and the largest gym as sports facilities.
