Singapore: Siloso Beach in Sentosa Island Beach Stroll
December 2022
Singapore may not be known as a beach vacation destination. But might as well be after I checked out Silosa Beach at Sentosa Island. The beaches in Sentosa Island must be one of the most overlooked attraction when visiting Singapore. Entrance to the island was free during my visit (-may no longer free by now; please check) and very accessible via train to HarbourFront station, then riding the monorail to the beaches.
Siloso Beach was right off monorail Beach Station (Station 4). The beach was clean (-like anywhere else in Singapore), water was calm and the beach sand was fine (- ok, so the sand may
not be native to the island). Surprisingly, not a whole lot of visitors during my visit. Water was on the cool side (-this was in December) so I did forgo swimming and just strolled instead.
I’m surprised with what I saw in Siloso Beach:
*Clean, gentle waters, fine sandy beach
*Rinse and shower facilities.
*Several food options.
*Very accessible.
*Water sports available.
*Several entertainment options within the island.
*Various lodging options.
It should be one of the to-do’s when visiting Singapore.
I just wished the water was warmer for me to go swimming.
There are other beaches in Sentosa Island. I was not able to explore all of them due to time constraints during my visit. So, what’s your experience with the beaches in Singapore?
What are some other interesting places that are typically overlooked when visiting Singapore?
I may check them out next time.
