Singapore to Malaysia Public Buses are back! | 160 170 170X 950 (and more)

Cross-Border Public Bus Services have resumed operations on Sunday, 1 May 2022. These include:
- SBS Transit Bus Services 160, 170, 170X
- SMRT Bus Service 950
- Transtar Bus Services TS1, TS3, TS6, TS8
- Causeway Link Bus Services CW1, CW2, CW5 & CW7
- Singapore-Johore Express
The Vaccinated Travel Bus Services operated by Transtar Travel & Handal Indah Sdn Bhd (Causeway Link) will be withdrawn from 1 May 2022. The last day of service was on Saturday, 30 April 2022.

Finally, more variety for cross-border buses! Back then the fleet was dominated with only one type of bus (Scania KUB E4), which can be boring......

@Jason The Scania K230UB E4s are "mothballed" by LTA, which basically means they are laid up and scrapped. This happened since LTA wanted to create a "green bus" network, whereby all buses *MUST* have emission standards of Euro V and above. Buses like the Scania K230UB E4 did not meet the emissions requirements, and hence were gotten rid of.

In my opinion, it is a good thing that we are transitioning to a greener public bus network, but I feel sad that these good buses are scrapped. Instead, LTA should consider retrofitting the Scania K230UB E4/E5 into electric buses like SG3100M.

MAN A22 in my opinion should run 160/170/950. Citaros? Um u guys seen what happened to those poor ex 160/170 Scania K230UB Euro IV? Their exterior got all bang out and look horrible, expect our "award winning brand" Citaros to look the same😂. Tbh the fleet should have been MAN A22 Euro V & VI as well as Scania Euro V. The Citaros can stay in SG to replace those buses. By right, Cross border buses should use the cheapest model and thats the MAN A22. I agree with the MAN A22 E5 & 6 replacing E4 Scanias but Citaros? On sunny days which is common, citaros aircon non existent, will be worst if stuck in traffic jam. Lets not forget those hard rock ironing board seats😶. Citaros in Sg especially sbs ones is already known to be one of the most unreliable, breaking down alot in recent years. Anyways i am just glad lta didnt force sbs to scrap those remaining SPAD scania K230UB and send them to local routes instead. Nice not to have working buses laid up for a year when still can use👍especially a Refurbished Scania K230UB was send to laid up a while back....(I believe it was SBS8191E) Sorry but in my opinion, these are the line of successor for 160/170: Volvo B10M --> Scania K230UB Euro IV --> MAN A22 Euro V & VI👍

I feel like the Scania K230UB are being wipe out... Since BCM came in, we rarely see K230UBS on airport services, Citaros completely replaced them... Cross border services K230UBS were redrawn and also replaced by MAN A22 & Citaros. I am fine with MAN A22 but Citaros? Bruh again. Finally the 97 scanias that were retired this year was replaced by majority Citaros😡 Citaros trying to be the supreme single deck bus in sg huh? Seems like it want to be sbs representive single deck bus😂
