Singer 15-91 Second Video Overhauling

Hello there, I have found a Singer 15-91 and the tension spring needed to be changed. I ordered a new one but I am still unsure about how to put this exact piece back into place with the right angle and this information is quite hard to find over the interweb.. You seem like you really know what you are doing and I was expecting to find the answer to my problem on one of your videos. Unfortunately it doesn' t seem like you are covering this precise matter, I was wondering if you would be able to help? Thanks for the good work, keep it up! I have learnt a lot threw your channel. Thank you Marilou. I hope to have the opportunity to make a video on your question at some point. I have been fortunate to have had very few issues with springs although they have occurred in the past and a while back before I was making videos. I don't keep the machines I work on as that allows me to make room for more that need attention. I will keep your idea in mind though.

What to do with the crackling on the japaning. Do you just oil and leave it as is?

My 15-91 is missing the light, is there a video to show how to replace it? I see lights on line that have a separate plug. Was the original wired into the machine and have a switch?

Easy, buy one new portable lamp of today machines that work for any sewing machine.

We took apart the motor and it gets stacked and does not work. Is there any new motor that can work with the singer 1590? Who sell a working motor like that.
