I LOVED this video. What fun to see the attachments and how they were supposed to be inserted in the box. Thank you so much!

Really interesting for sure! Going to have to do some research and see when these were standard issue and when they switched to the paste board accessory box. Thanks for this upload, informative as usual👍

My guess is they ran along side the card boxes. Maybe these were the deluxe option

Very useful video - I would never have been able to work that out on my own starting from a box of bits. Thank you.

I got one of these boxes on Friday with my latest 99k!!
@CurioByBSpokeDesigns4 жыл бұрын
Simon McNally I wasn't sure they were issued with the 99 as I had only seen ones for the 201 and 15. I had wondered if they had come with the 99 so thanks for the info!

Loved this video. I don't have a puzzle box but have several of the attachments that belonged in it. One day I will try using them, I'm sure they will add an extra dimension to any project.

1Don't leave it for 'one day', have a go on some scrap fabric this week! I've just realised I've been struggling to achieve certain finishes (like lace trim on edges) with either the normal or zip foot for years, when I could have been using the edge trimmer I already actually own, which would have made ithis task a doddle! I've wasted so much time, and the jobs were lesser quality too...

Awesome! I got one with my 99, and yes, everything was (is) in a jumble. I'm missing the seam guide screw and the ruffle, but everything else is intact. I'd still love to have a wooden puzzle box, though.

I have a larger black puzzle box for a 1901 28, missing I think from the indentations, different sized rolled hem feet. I have most of the bits (only 2 bobbins), Hurray!

I have one of these tins, It came with my 99k! She’s a mish-mash of parts so it’s expected that the tin was from another machine haha I’ve realised I’m missing 2-3 parts hopefully I can find them somewhere online :D

Your videos are so helpful! I have most of these attachments and I'm wondering whether to purchase a tin for them. Can you tell me whether these tins have a musty old smell to them? I imagine the purple backing might get a bit smelly with time and I'm rather sensitive to smells!
@CurioByBSpokeDesigns2 жыл бұрын
I haven't found them to be particularly smelly. I guess a little Febreze would sort out any smells.

I have this tin with only the large screwdriver and underbraider missing. Some of the clips are really loose tho. I’ll try squeezing them closer with some pliers now I can see how which clip holds what. I just thought I was getting this all wrong or had the wrong attachments. Thank you for the clarity 😊 Any chance of a list of the attachments’ Simanco numbers for this tin?

I'll try to sort a list of attachments for you. Some of my clips were loose too.

Magic! However hard I've tried to fit things in, when I reopen it not everything is still in place, it will be from now on! :)

My newly acquired 201 came with a puzzle tin, but there are no clips, instead, a strip of 8 screws which may be the method of securing the pieces. Also, the attachments don’t have the hooked arms to wrap around the needle bar. Instead, the hooks (sorry I’m not sure of the correct name) are straight up. They wont fit on a 201 needle bar in this configuration. Any clues as to what machine they accompany?
@CurioByBSpokeDesigns3 жыл бұрын
It sounds like they are for an early back clamping machine

When looking for these tools/attachments, how do you know they are for the 201k? Btw, loving your videos
@CurioByBSpokeDesigns2 жыл бұрын
All low shank attachments will fit the 201. The only difference may be any feed dog cover plates.
