Save all the parts on the bad piece. That flat piece is a spring and tension for your bobbin. Save it!

Shuttle Carrier Following Pinion # 82180 For Singer 29K Sewing Machine if you paste this on ebay... $10. There are two different sizes for look for the one you need. Ebay has a lot of parts.

I noticed on my shuttle does not have the short screw on one end ,plus the other side is empty with no screwed on it. Is there a purpose for those screw on the shuttle where the bobbin sits next to?

do you mean what you see in the video at 4:26? that is used a tension, but if your machine works then no need to worry.

Hola..tengo una marca anysew 2972 zapatera y tiene el problema que enreda el hilo ya le regule con el bulon central pero sigue igual . está nueva y no lo puedo poner a punto ..

Muchas veces el problema de que el hilo se enrede es porque la tensión no es la adecuada. Tienes manuel? ¿Pusiste el hilo de la manera correcta? También en la canilla, demasiado apretado puede impedir que el hilo avance correctamente.
