Singer 6268 Sewing Machine - Part 1 - Local Charity Shop Repair - Feeding Issue

A local charity shop asked me to take a look at this Singer 6268 electronic sewing machine which is not feeding properly.
This video shows the troubleshooting procedures and identifies the issue.
This machine came with an embroidery attachment and plug-in cartridges that contain different patterns.
This video covers tracking down the problem with this machine and removing the offending part for inspection.

Your videos are always interesting and I love seeing your work on vintage machines. I was in Dunedin over Easter (from Oz) and if you had a workshop I would have loved to see your machine collection. I have about 12 vintage machines including 2 Featherweights and an Elna from the’60s that weighs a ton. Some machines just can’t be salvaged but you do your best. Always inspiring to see your videos

Does the embroidery attachment really need the feed dogs? It would be also interesting to see a teardown of that.

I have owned this model Singer. They are fairly good machines. And this one will need a complete lube and oiling. It will be as dry as a bone. That should help to quiet it down and run smoother. 🧵
