Para ser reggaetón, creo que la canción es buena, musicalmente más compleja que la mayoría de este género. No sé por qué mucha gente se queja de que es música simple, si el 99% de la música lo es. Hay momentos para escuchar a Bach y a Vivaldi, y hay momentos para bailar y relajarnos, y es bonito poder escuchar de todo. Y la canción es simple, sí, pero es buena. :) Y lo cierto es que el video refleja una cara linda de Puerto Rico, que es la fiesta y la unidad de la gente.

Esta cancióa no está hecha para reguetón, deberías escuchar la versión con su autora acompañada con Roberto Carlos y es totalmente diferente. Realmente el reguetón musicalmente no aporta mucho. Personalmente creo que la música urbana está hecha por personas que no cantan.

The introduction of this song that seems to be played with a guitar. Rather it was with The Four. (The Puerto Rican four is the national instrument of Puerto Rico. The video's seaside shots were partially filmed in the Old San Juan barrio "La Perla". The "street" scenes were filmed in another San Juan barrio....I am almost certain that the entire video was filmed in the metro area of Puerto Rico. Anyway, that is where you get the "vibe" of it. The setting is a real one and for the most part, unadulterated by production...I bet that the "older" domino players and the kids were not formally hired (casted), but just asked on the spot to be in the video. (I can only hope that all the participants and neighbors were compensated accordingly considering how famous the video is...) Another important detail is that the string instrument in the beginning of the video is a "cuatro" which is similar to a guitar but has a unique "folky" sound that is popular in Puerto Rico. Boricuas (Puerto Ricans) love that sound! The only bummer of the video for me is that the girl who is the main focus just looks "too perfect". She resembles more like a runaway model... Don'te get me wrong, I think she is gorgeous and just like many Puerto Ricans she seems to have more like an European dominant ethnic background, but is not her ethnicity but her clothes, perfect hair.... I would have tweaked her hair, make up and clothing a bit to make it fit a Caribbean street festival a bit more accurately. That is just my opinion....Internet please be nice :-)

This music is Reggeaton is very popular nowadays. The singers are from Puerto Rico. Luis Fonsi actually has a very beautiful voice. This is not the type of song to really showcase it. Im from Puerto Rico, Im a fan of Daddy Yankee and a semi-fan of Luis Fonsi (he was better back in the day). Im a fan of reggaeton, I know the model was the 2006 miss Universe winner, BUT............. I remember when this video/song came out, I didnt think anything of it. I thought it was a relatively lame and uninteresting song, with a generic video or street cultural Puerto Rico tourist type of presentation. I saw the video when it was like 1-2 million, and I didnt think it was anything that would be even semi popular. From What I understand was that it really got a huge bump in videos in India (of all places) and then when it was at 2 billion, thats when it was really a phenomenon that has all the media in alot of countries talking about it, and the youtube people watching/reacting to it.
