How to thread and install the bobbin case in a front-loading SINGER® sewing machine.

How do I remove the bobbin from the bobbin case? I just bought my machine and it looks like yours just comes out easily but mine appears to be stuck in there. Any tips?

Rachel Newell you have to get a little tool to go into the little hole in the bobbin, carefully pull it out, hope this helped!

Let go of the arm on the bobbin case. The bobbin should come out easily.

Same happening with mine, jyst bought a few days ago, can't get started because the bobbin which was already in the bobbin case won't come out, so disappointed with a name like Singer to have this problem

I’m a few years late but I had the same question, so I’m sure someone else will down the road! I actually took my seam ripper and put it in the thread hole and that was enough to get it out!

Very old singer machine here. The case finally broke and the new case looks exactly the same except the little arm is on the other side. The new one looks like a mirror image if you know what I mean. Will this work?

What do you do with the string you left dangling?

Hello Emidee, New front loading bobbin machines usually come with a bobbin inserted in the bobbin case. Sometimes, this bobbin is very hard to get out. Do not hold the flap on the back of the bobbin-case open as that will lock the bobbin into the bobbin-case. Hold the bobbin case in your hand so that you can see the bobbin inside of it and place your finger on the bobbin and turn it. Take the bobbin case and tap it on the table and the bobbin should drop out. It might take a couple of times but it should release. If this doesn’t resolve this issue please email us at: [e-mail] or call our Customer Service line at 1-800-474-6437 and one of our Customer Care representatives will be happy to try to assist you.
