I remember as a teenager my best friend who I spent many endless days with told me "Megan, you never fart." And she was right, I never noticed. I burped a lot but rarely farted. Years later, I was dealing with some serious stomach pain and couldn't figure out what it was. I missed work because I was so uncomfortable. Luckily, I dropped my phone under the couch and had to get on all fours to get it. When I tell you I let out the biggest longest and loudest fart of my life!! I felt SO MUCH BETTER!! lol such relief. The first time I went to visit my fiancé, I stayed with him for a month, and was absolutely terrified of the idea of taking a shit at his house. If you've ever been hospitalized for an extended period of time after surgery or worked in a hospital, which I can relate to both... a lot of times after surgery or after giving birth they wait until you "fart"/pass gas before they even start the discharging process. The point is, farting/passing gas is normal, as well as necessary. I'm telling you with all seriousness that someone passed out right in front of me because he didn't want to fart/pass gas in front of me. It scared the mess out of me, I pounded on his chest just to wake him up, but this story has me realizing that I saved someone's life.

If you have to do it just excuse yourself and go outside, your car , bathroom . This happened to me one time when my dr gave me some pills to help with the gas. I woke up at 3 am and I thought I was having a heart attack , I called my mom and was going to go to ER , when I opened the front door and I farted so loud and long that it sounded like a machine gun ,right after that I felt like nothing ever happened and I went to bed .

OMG! Trapped gas is SOOO painful. Sometimes food causes it. I'd never heard of it til I went to the doctor for severe pain. I've since learned (at the first sign of trapped gas) to get 'face down & azz up'. LITERALLY. Not sexual, but lifting the hips above the head makes the gas travel out.🙂
