I sure hope this year is a much better one than the last year, time will tell. So far the winters are the same but I am a home body and hibernate like the bears do but then I can get more work done on my different machines, that is if my husband would let me do them, sometimes he can be more a pain than the dogs can be. I never thought of explaining how the carriage works but someone did ask me so that is why I did it, took me a couple days, one for the knitter then one for the ribber. I do know that these things can be dumbfounding to some, even to me when I first started knitting with the double bed. Berda

Thanks for this video. I just bought an older model Singer 360 and this is very helpful for explaining the symbols. The books that came with it are a little sparse on what they are and do.

I have had many ask me for that and even I was stumped when I first started machine knitting, but then to go from the Brother to Singer type machines, well that even confused me more but in time I did get to understand most of both worlds. But at least they do work and get things done, just a matter of understanding that one machine and getting it to behave itself. Berda

Brother or singer? If the Singer type machine, you may have to take the sinker plate off to lift the carriage top to get it off. If this is a brother machine, well it is older than the 500 models and from what I have seen, those carriages are small, so I think to take the sinker plate off to get the carriage to move. There can be many things that cause this, old sponge bar is the most times the culprit but it can also be the needles are bent or the latches on the needles are not just right or bent. Hope this helps. Berda
