Phenomenal performer! The world, and the opera world, is still coping with the disease of racism. The irony of the discussion of European acceptance of singers of color is that many legendary performers ( Ms Jessye Norman, Ms Shirley Verrett to name 2) had to relocate to Europe to see the degree of success that their rich talents deserved. The wealth of incredibly talented black singers that are here now from the US, Europe, and from South Africa is forcing change. Bravo!
