I just need to baste seam binding to the shoulder seams before attaching front and back of garment. I think I could baste it by hand faster!

I followed your instructions but noticed that my needle hits against the inside of the ring of the free motion quilt when I lower the needle. I can still sew with it this way without the machine complaining (which surprises me) but I'm concerned about damaging the machine. Any tips for getting the alignment right? Can I just use a regular walking foot with this stitch instead? I'm using it to make gathers

Tried this method but my thread keeps jamming. Why?? Is there an easier way to baste or long stitch without changing the foot??

Why my machine could not sew straight, the fabric always pull to the left, so the stitches will curve to the right. I already cleaned the feed dog, but nothing changed

Mine is just a month old and it does the same thing. I thought I was imagining this. Not sure what to do.

To be honest, this seems like a real pain! Isn't there a way on this machine to just sew really long stitches in a row, down an entire seam if necessary?!
