I wouldn't say the song was about gratitude though. Tupac was just sending a powerful message by painting a picture of the morbid realities of the Black American inner-cities and how that unfortunate dynamic affects said demographic. From single motherhood to drug addiction, black on black crime and Racism; He gives a thorough analysis of the Black experience in America. In loved the analogy that it's almost as if from the frying pan black people have began jumping into another form of slavery. Hence, making it seem like popular activists Malcolm X and Bobby Hutton from the Black Panther Party movement died for nothing. He finishes off by speaking to his listeners about where he himself stands as a role model and how he is still a work in progress. Unfortunately his life was cut short before he could actualize his highest self. loved the Empathy in your reaction. You just got a new subscriber❤️.
