Amazing fact about Milunka Savić, because a fun fact won’t be enough. She captured twenty German soldiers by running across no man’s land and jumping into the trench with a grenade in hand forcing them to surrender.

Fun fact I learned about Milunka a few days ago - she once captured a bunch of Bulgarian soldiers, one of who was so impressed with her conduct that after the war, he sent his eldest son too her so she could teach him how to be a true man.

During WWI a Serbian named Milunka Savić became the most decorated female soldier in history. To prevent her brother from being conscripted, she joined the Serbian army disguised as him. While she was later found out she was allowed to stay in the army and became one of the hero’s of the war. Respect from the Serbia ❤💙🤍
