They left JYP entertainment back in Jan. 2021, was on contract for 7 years. They are older brothers to Stray kids, GOT7 decided not to renew their contract with JYP because they were upset at the lack of freedom to make music & work on their solo careers like how they let stray kids make music. JayB their leader asked and received their trademark to their name. They haven't released any music in the last two years because two members were in the military which both just got out recently. BAMBAM, JACKSON AND MARK are not korean so they don't have to do korean military. They are much happier now that they can more free to make their music they want. ❤ so they Bring Fire 🔥

Great explanation, but I want to add… GOT7 have been songwriting for quite a long time, there’s a lot of their songs in their discography. They asked and received the trademarks after paying for it… and after searching and gathering all paperwork and using the law clauses for it. They could do it because all seven agreed to left the company together and to keep promoting as got7. The leader Jaebeom postponed his own start on solo to get all papers and let members choose their companies. That already had an EP in 2022, but this one Python comeback is being more MORE promoted 😊

Got7 used to be apart of JYPE, but they got their trademark and now own the rights to their name and everything. They mainly work on solo stuff now but every few years they come back as a group per the promise they made to Ahgases and theirselves. The last comeback they had was in 2022, which was also their first as independent artists. This track (Python) was made by Bambam. I’d recommend the songs: Teenager Page Aura Look Poison Run Away You Calling My Name Sick Prove It Come On Two Truth Drive Me to the Moon And honestly the rest of their newest EP Winter Heptagon.

GOT7 are seven members group debuted in 2014. They have four korean members and three foreign members making them very popular internationally. GOT7 left their company in 2020 after the ending of their contract and so many people drag them saying they are disbanded. GOT7 is a self produced group and 7 SOLOIST. BOTH!!!! GOT7, who debuted under JYP enterrainment in 2014, left on 2021 when they didnt renew contract and signed solo agendas under different companies (or self own like mark's DNA or Jackson Wang's Team Wang) with the promise to IGOT7 (the fandom, or ahgase, which sounds like little birds in korean) By 2022 they got full ownership rights to everything they have ever done and recently renewed then until 2034 ( this has to be done every 10 years ) Now as self produced group (of independant) they can manage, create, decide what color and direction they want in their art, reason why maybe people would se a switch in styles as they explore more. In 2022 they cameback for the first time with self produced album amonim 'GOT7' with Warner Music as distributor/ label. This album they tried to say and close the "JYP chapter" , fullfield ahgase promise and also show the GOT7 real color . Now, 2025, they comeback with their second album self produced WINTER HEPTAGON with Kakao Entertainment as distributor/label. Jackson, Mark, and Bambam just wrapped up their tours at the same time J J finished the army stuff. Now they can focus on they're group stuff. By the way Jackson's tour was a world tour, Mark Tuan's tour was a Private American tour for his fans back home and then Asian tour for Most of Asia. Bambam's tour was a world tour too.
