JK has a great behind the scenes on the filming of this (Usher has one too but JK’s is longer & better, fyi Usher put this collab on his new album, that’s respect). Love seeing the torch once passed to Usher by MJ during a performance at an awards show when Usher was younger than JK now being passed on by Usher. He’s had a few protégés over the years but all disappointed him in the end. I think he’s had his eye on the talent and the person JK is for awhile and this was his official hand off. Love it. Although my personal bias is RM (with the exception of Jin & Coldplay’s Argentina emotional & amazing performance), it’s very clear that the biggest solo star will by JK. He has the full superstar package - true talent, versatility, sexy, great live performer and that magic something that just is. You can’t learn it, you can’t buy it and you can’t unsee its glow. The entire group have star power together and apart but there’s star and legend, the second just shines so naturally, brightly and rarely. Marilyn Monroe, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Elton John, Taylor Swift, James Dean, Usher and now JK (small sampling of the chosen few throughout entertainment history, they also exist in politics, modeling and other fields where their light can shine like JFK, Cindy Crawford, Pierre Trudeau, Barack Obama. The other new classic star I believe will live on is Zendaya).
