It’s hard to grasp every detail with the translation. There’s a lot of puns and wordplay. So for Shakira to make a diss song like this it is because his cruelty and cynicism have been beyond any limits. She’s had a tough 2022 with her father falling very ill, having this lawsuit with the Spanish IRS and in the middle of all these, she discovers he’s having a full-blown affair for months and he’s leaving her despite everything she was going through adding insult to injury. When it was announced that she was releasing a song with bzrp, it was expected some beef. But she totally nuked him. More power to her, there’s no way to deny he deserves it.

There’s soooooo much lost in translation... can’t touch on all of it, but here’s two cool bits: Her ex’s name is Pique. There’s a line that says “yo solo hago musica, perdon que te salPIQUE” which translates to, “I only make music, sorry if it splashes you.” It makes more sense in Spanish, and the last part of the Spanish word for Splashes sounds exactly like his name, she even pauses: Sal-Pique. She also named the mistress. Her name is Clara. Clara is the Spanish word for “clear” as well. There’s a line that goes, “tiene nombre de persona buena, CLARA-mente, no es como suena,” which translates to, “they have the name of a good person, CLEAR-ly, it’s not like it sounds.” So many layers, there’s so much more. Something that is also very important to understand the "Clara-mente" references, is this: She says Clara has the name of someone who must be a good person, because Clara's translation and context is not only "clear", it is also luminous and in the context of a name it can also mean "light bringer" or someone who "brightens up the place". Hey I've just watched your video. If you have anybody around you who really knows Spanish... well, ask some clarifications. I will just mention one of the puns: when she says 'if it splashes you' the word in Spanish for splashes is 'salpique' or... sal-PIQUE (which is the surname of her ex husband who cheated on her). .. Much harder to write it down is the explanation around "clearly". As somebody said here... 'clear' means 'Clara'... and it's, of course, a nice name... 'clearly' translates into 'claramente'. Saying 'Clara-mente'... she is naming the new lover and also is saying 'clearly' So.. look for Spanish native speaker.

And the issue is also that she only moved to Spain because Piqué wanted to raise a family with her and he wanted them full time in Spain while he played there. Legal cases in Spain take a very long time to be resolved. The Spanish Treasury wants to set an example with her and want her to pay tens of millions of dollars in penalties
