The vibe for this video was meant to be Steampunk meets The Mad Hatter's Tea Party meets The Sound of Music. All of the "favorite things" items were just sitting on the table and the director had them pick up whatever was closest to them and react to it. Scott reacted a little TOO lovingly with that skull! Mitch had a trophy BTW. I don't know why, but seeing Kirstie joyously playing with a toy airplane brings me life! There were production assistants up in the rafters of the studio throwing down the various flying objects. In an interview, Kirstie said she was convinced the PAs were aiming at the members of the band on every toss!

They always put a song or two on their Christmas albums that aren’t lyrically Christmas songs, and who are we to argue. The randomness of this video makes me smile!

I love the low-tech aspect of most of their videos. It fits with their low-tech approach to vocals... just whatever come out of their mouths. I know there's a bit of enhancement here and there, but it's so nice to get back to the pure human voice, and the kind of visuals we could produce in our own homes with some creativity and a dash of ingenuity. Loving the Christmas Sunday theme!

So glad you've reacted to this one! There is a lot of Christmas music from them to cover LOL! More Christmas PTX! The props they held were just random objects that were placed on the table , they picked them up randomly..

In a live stream people asked what they were holding and why, and they all basically said, the props that were put on the table. No meaning to it.

Love it as always! So glad your back to doing Christmas music!! You should react to PTX - What Christmas Means To Me (not to be confused with their original That’s Christmas To Me). It’s so happy and fun and very underrated in my opinion, and the vocals are AMAZING!!! 💙

Brad, not even a word about how much Kristen killed that lead? You are often so effusive of Scott and Mitch, (which is understandable,) along with Matt's bass and KO's incredible beat boxing - but you rarely seem to single out Kirsten. Is there a reason for that?
@danielcarter8373 жыл бұрын
He said that Kirsten was the MVP (most valuable Pentatonic) of the last Christmas album.
@jenniferjohnson8243 жыл бұрын
Have you seen the original reactions to this album he did? He mentions her a lot and once he hears all the songs on the album he said that she's always been great but that this album was her defining shining moment. He seemed more focused on the video on this one since he already reacted to this song.
