In this show they imitated 16 stars over the course of 16 weeks / broadcasts. From the 3 tenors to ABBA to Supremes to Mariah Carey.. In the end, they won the competition with 100% of the votes. And they really deserved it.

The concept of that show is so entertaining. The participants are recreating famous videos of famous artists. They did a junior version and the TNT Boys decided to participate as a team. So it’s the whole package: vocal imitation, costumes, dance and gestures, stage presence. It’s silly and light but my goodness, you cannot ignore the talent displayed. A lot of reactors had a hard time when they were imitating women but really, I wonder what we would allow ourselves if we knew that, no matter what, we wouldn’t be judged negatively? I personally find it incredibly liberating. Keep going with those TNT Boys reactions. You will see what I mean. 🤗

This was their first performance in that weekly show that ran for 15 weeks. This was the reason why I became their fan. The more you watch the rest of the shows, the more you’ll admire them. I would recommend that you also watch their interactions with the judges after every performance because they’re really hilarious. You’ll find some videos with English captions so you’ll understand what they were saying.

These kids were given an artist randomly and they have to copy the looks, the sound and all nuances of that given artist. They have to practice all of them in a week (without missing their school classes) and perform at the end of that week. After the performance, they are given another artist to practice and perform for the following weekend show....and so forth. Please check out their Mariah Carey, Lady Marmalade, The three tenors. The kids only found out who they were to portray the following week at the end of each show which meant the kids usually had 7 days to perfect their routines but remarkably, in the case of the TNT boys, because of school work (which always comes 1st) & other engagements they often only had 3 days to get there routine down!!! The routines are all ‘iconic’ routines from either famous Filipino artists or famous international artists, which unless you are a big bee gee’s fan you probably won’t recognise this particular performance whereas some of the other performances you can recognise immediately. The boys often portrayed females,mainly due to the fact that there is a lack of female trio’s to choose from. Many people,predominantly from the US/CAN seemed to have a big problem with this, the boys dressing as women & sometimes having their skin darkened, so as you too are from the US ( I am not saying that you will disagree with what they are doing, I mean just in case you do) I would just like to say, firstly, that in the Philippines where they are from, it’s no big deal, as far as they’re concerned it’s just entertainment, after all,the boys are only really doing what millions of kids around the world do every day, playing at dressing up, it’s just that they have the talent to do it at such an elevated level. The show also has a psychologist to make sure that there are no adverse effects on the kids & that they know it’s acting & it’s not real etc & most importantly, the kids don’t have to do anything they don’t want to & I’ve seen footage of the rehearsals & the boys were always excited about playing females & often had to draw lots to decide who played who. It would make sense for them to want to portray some females, like Beyoncé, C.Aguilera, Jesse J, Ariana etc because they are some of the boys musical idols. The boys are literally ‘copying’ performances, it’s not their own work or idea’s, which is the whole idea of the show, however, the odd lyric here & there had to be changed because it’s simply wasn’t appropriate for any child to be saying, even in the very ‘open minded’ Philippines. You are a musician so I assume that you can just appreciate, once you’ve got over the shock & stopped laughing, the performance from a purely ‘talent’ point of view, I mean, you can’t deny that it isn’t funny, because it is, but once you get over that you can see the immense talent, not just vocally, that each of these boys has & you are right, these performances are right at the beginning of their time together as a group, they’d almost finished the whole series by the time the flashlight video was released, they were so little & had not only talent by the bucket load, but had the charisma to go with it. These boys were born to be on stage. A few other notable performances: The bee gee’s was the opening week of the show but thereafter: ‘Survivor’ - Destiny’s Child ‘Cant Hurry Love’ - The Supremes ‘O Sole Mio’ - The Three Tenors ‘Moulin Rouge’ - C.Aguilera,Pink,Miya ‘Bang Bang’ - Jesse J,Ariana Grande,Nicki Minaj (this was the grand final performance at the end of the series, which they won with an unprecedented 100% of the vote). There are many more ‘unbelievable’ performances throughout the series, some of which you will be familiar with & some you won’t but I’m my opinion these 5 are the best allround. ENJOY my friend!!

It was coach tania levy who asked about no of days for rehearsals. They said 3 days only. She also asked them how easy for them to practice and they said its not easy. Btw, coach gave them singing lessons .
