It is all because of your videos that I started thinking about my voice, my posture, how I am speaking, and what is happening with my voice. If it wasn't for your videos, I would have continued with bad practices and truly ruined my voice. I think your videos have saved my voice and came at the right time. Of course, getting my asthma under control was a priority for a long time, and I am sure a lot of my bad habits came from my asthma and misusing my breath and speaking during my worst times. But in all honesty, I think I can pinpoint the exact time I started experiencing trouble: the one time I had full laryngitis as a bacterial or viral infection on my voice. Complete loss of voice. I was fortunate I had a good job and enough sick days to recover, but that was probably the first sign that I was doing things wrong, and I probably didn't take enough time off to cure everything. As soon as I was well enough by doctor's note, I went back. I was working at a call center at the time. My husband always told me I talked too loud, even though I didn't think so. I never hear myself as talking loud. I am kind of excited about finding a vocal therapist or whatever it is called now--but I am really worried that I will not be able to find one as awesome as you seem to be. Heck, if it wasn't for exchange rates, I might have wanted to hire you ^_^ Thank you so much for everything. You are a rare gift on KZbin.

Exactly, you could underdo it and under sing. The voice then strains from too little effort.

Hi Dr. Dan! Was wondering if you had any advice or exercises for how to find that sweet spot of breath pressure. I feel like I usually have too much or too little when trying to belt or get twang.
