Thank you for renewing your interest in Pentatonix despite all of the difficulties related to blocked videos. You've commented a couple of times about Matt's increasing contributions as a lead singer. Please, please, please review their cover of Oh, Holy Night from their recent Christmas album. In my opinion, it's their best work yet. They have a Vevo live version and also an audio only version.

They have been professionally filming their concerts for PPV Livestream for a few years now. The quality is amazing! It's mostly Christmas but the Hollywood Bowl 2022 one is AMAZING and not Christmas lol. Hands down the best concert I have ever had the pleasure of seeing in person.

That beginning drone by Kirstie and Kevin is meant to mimic the traditional bsgpipe drone. Amazing Grace is often played on bagpipes. Miss your PTX reactions.

The studio version of this along with the video was released on their Christmas CD in 2020, the Covid Christmas. The video is gorgeous. The vocals are spectacular. I had not heard the live version and it is really good. It brought tears to my eyes like it does for many people the first time I heard it when Kirstie was singing. When Kevin came in at the end the tears started. It was such a needed song for a tough year.

Just about all of their performances from the past few years Christmas concerts - at least since 2021 - are available in ‘live stream’ quality. For non-Christmas, their Hollywood Bowl 2022 concert is also available in live stream quality.

My Chains Are Gone is a bridge written by Chris Tomlin specifically for Amazing Grace, and this version of Amazing Grace is very commonly sung in contemporary Christian circles. So not exactly a mashup, just a specific version of the song Pentatonix chose to sing.

You guys! You're back! I think I have watched all your OLD PTX reactions and loved them. Most PTX reactors pause often and claim that's the trick. Others blur it a touch, alter the transparency OR put a logo in front of it. 😊 You figured something out on this one! I really hope you do more. There's so much more! ‘My chains’ is new chorus, an expansion or evolution of the Amazing grace song introduced in 2006 by Chris Thomlin.

I'm so glad you've found a way to include Pentatonix again. I had to stop and go watch the original (plus a couple more) from this concert. I'm not sure how I missed it! Check out Joyful, Joyful from the same concert. Also, the entire Hollywood Bowl live concert is phenomenal. My new favorite, which I believe I mentioned in your last Pentatonix video, is O Holy night. I haven't seen a live version that I really like, but the official video is outstanding. My favorite song of theirs ever, and I've been a fan since their first performance on The Sing-Off in 2011. They've improved so much since you quit covering them. I can't remember if you've done Kiss From The Rose, but that is also a live performance. Unbelievable.

You guys absolutely need to watch the official video in your own time. So at least you can see how gorgeous this song is - it’s better than the version you are watching - the setting is looking over the Pacific Ocean. The chapel they sing in is unique. Please watch and make a comment so we know you saw that performance. I’m not a religious person but after I heard their rendition, I kept walking around the house singing and humming the song and couldn’t get it out of my mind.

It’s such a shame you guys have so many issues with copyright etc. Most creators blur their videos (studio as well as live) and seem to get away with it fine. It might be temporarily held,but is released 48-72 hours later, with full audio. I love your reactions, esp to PTX so I hope you are able to get around it and do more. Your joy at hearing them is so cute to watch ❤

Most reactors have had success with just blurring the video and leave the audio intact. Honestly the cutting of the audio was really jarring and I didn’t even want to finish. And I love you guys so that made me sad!

I believe you won't get much of a problem when reacting to live performances. It's the official MVs that are.peoblematic. This is a good live one bc it has the entire song. They performed this at the White House but minus Mitch's part.
